Depends on what kind of hair type you have. mines naturaly wavy so i dont comb mine so i get more scrunch. Also my moms a hairdresser and she says you dont have to.

I love to scrunch my hair. Personally I wouldn't comb my hair after Im done showering. I usually comb my hair, take a shower, take a towel and squeeze out water, then I take a gel and scrunch my hair. After, I dry my hair and put holding spray in it. It works really well!

comb it then flip your head upside down and shake your fingers through it too loosen it and then put your product in it and scrunch it as you blow dry it then spray with hair spray this is how I do my hair cause it's so curly and it works GREAT!!!!
