How come sometimes my hair is very frizzy, and other times it's straighter, the way I want it?

Could it be the way I shampoo, or the way I comb my hair, or how I dry it? I believe I have wavy hair, so what's the best way of dealing with it? I'm a guy, by the way, and I wanted to have long hair that looks really good.

Maybe it's the humidity?

Humidity can play havoc on otherwise tame hair. There are plenty of products in the hair-care aisles that tout anti-frizz qualities.

Also hormones can play a big part too...

I have the same problem, and it's probably due to humidity. I live in Texas, and the humidity here is a b*tch.

it all depends on the humidity in the air

A lot has to do with the humidity. The more humid.. the more frizzy and the less your hair will cooperate.

It could even be the weather.

I think its probably all those things you mentioned, plus weather. You can always use a large round brush with your hairdryer to dry it smooth (although curls are great and look wonderful)

the shampoo that you use and how often you use and the amount so good luck

Try drying your hair the same way every time. If you want it curly/frizzy, dry your hair a little bit then let it air dry. If you want you hair to be straight, dry your hair with a comb and spray hair spray in it or put gel in it.

its ususally heat and humidity that causes hair to act the way it does. On really humid days, try a frizz controll spray or shampoo, also make sure you use a good conditioner, leave it in for 1-2 minutes, and rinse with cool water, it helps the moisture stay in, the heat leaches the moisture from your hair with most conditioners %26lt;hot showers destroy the purpose of conditioner%26gt;

It's probably how you dry it. Comb it wet then try not to again. The more you comb the fuzzier it will be. But in case it is static run a dyer sheet over it.

It all depends on your hair type and how you treat it.

Try head and shoulders shampoo and conditioner for bed hair, dry hair, and hard to manage hair

Also if you ever use gel, spray or any coloring products, best use only ones that indicate for wavy or hard to manage hair, for best results.

Don't blow dry it unless you must, just air dry your hair for shine and true results. Blow dryers damage hair and also most likely is the cause of your frizzy, wavy hair you don't want.

Good luck!

I have wavy hair too, and also used to have trouble with it frizzing out. After years of experimenting, I finally discovered a system that works. I found out that it was because my SCALP was dry, and not my hair. I started using head and shoulders with hydrazync, even though I don't get dandruff, and it looks much better. Also, buy yourself a more expensive conditioner, made for curly hair, and don't shampoo everyday. Just condition most days. Also, I started using MATRIX contouring cream and it works really well if I put in just a little bit after my shower. Also, just pat your hair dry when you get out of the shower, instead of rubbing it. You will be amazed at the results. Good Luck!
