Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

I Juust read on a website on how to keep your hair healthy that you should never comb your hair when its wet but it didnt say why you cant so can some one please tell me

thanks in advance

閳?.Azra..x//

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

because hair breaks easier when it is wet.

Good Luck!

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

You can comb it wet if you comb it with conditioner on. if you comb it when wet without conditioner its supposed to split the ends

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

It has something to do with your hair's elasticity(sp) when your hair is wet it's less elastic then when it's dry and its easier to cause breakage.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

you should comb your hair when it's wet. you shouldn't BRUSH your hair when it's wet. have you ever been to a hair salon?

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

i've never heard of that and I comb my hair when its wet and so do all my friends and our hair rocks. (i'm serious our hair is really good, mine is really soft but bushy (but bushy hair runs in the family so thats no the result) and my bff's hair is very fair and soft and easy to manage), so IDK.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

I thought it was bad to 'brush' wet hair, thought combing was ok

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

I have never heard that. you should comb all tangles out with a comb never usining a brush on wet hair.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

they say it's not good to comb ur hair when wet cuz it could break your hair and ruin the ends leading to damaged ends. the only time that happens is when you have knaps that you can't easily comb through. what you should do, and this is what i do, is after shampooing, use a conditioner. when conditioning ur hair, you should finger comb thru ur hair to make sure that it's all evenly spread. leave in for a good 2-3 minute.... rinse and towel dry. run fingers thru once more, and then use a comb or brush.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

I do but it is meant to be easier to pull out and break - I have to brsh mine though otherwise it is really knotty lol

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

Dont do it ! it will all fall out.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

Because it breaks your hair %26amp; forms frizz.

Wet hair is more delicate and easy to break when it's wet.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

Never brush your hair when it is wet. Instead, you should comb your wet hair. Brushes are known to pull wet hair, meaning that it will be more likely to fall out when you use a brush than if you were to use a comb. If there is not a comb around, wait until your hair has dried before you even attempt to brush it.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

I brush my hair when its wet cuz if I wait 2 long it gets really frizzy and puffy!!!! And I can't stand it!!! I have naturally curly hair and I can't really brush my hair when itz dry!!!

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

well when u take shower and den comb yur hair yur hair wil feel like gras most of time.. i hate dat feeling so i never comb my hair but i wud prefer is use REDKEN SMOOTH DOWN. it helps keep yur hair frm being grassy when u comb it before u hairdry it. so first u take a shower and den put da redken smooth down and den blow dry rite away even before u put da smooth down u can comb yur hair!! ANSWER: once u comb yur hair it gets more frizzy and it will feel like grass if u constantly do it, but if u have silky hair it will be okay to comb a little but if u have unruly hair DON'T COMB!!!

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

Your hair stretches when it's wet and if you run a fine tooth comb through it while it's wet the ends could stretch and break off easily. You can, however, use a wide-tooth comb or brush while it's wet.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

because your hair is more prone to breaking when it's wet and it will give you split ends!

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

You should use a wide tooth comb to comb your hair when its wet. But do not brush because as others have stated it will break easier.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

Hair shouldn't be combed when it's wet.

False. When hair is wet, water penetrates its shaft, so it swells and starts tangling with other hair. If wet hair is not combed, it will dry out tangled, and will be unmanageable and difficult to style. To set the hair and give it a smooth look, you must comb it when it is wet. But do it gently and be sure to use a wide-toothed comb.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

Because combing wet hair can break it and cause split ends. Use a wide tooth comb when you put your leave in conditioner on. Preferrably, finger comb wet hair. If only I could do that. My hair's so thick, wide tooth combs get stuck... I got mom's hair. Lol.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

It gives you split ends.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

i always comb my hair when it's wet . i have been doing it all my life . i have not had any problems . i think it is a silly saying. IF IT WAS SO BAD WHY DO HAIRDRESSERS BRUSH/COMB YOUR HAIR ? WHEN IT IS WET ?THEY ARE PROFESSIONALTHEY KINDA KNOW WHAT TO DO ! don't you think?

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

supposidly, when you brush wet hair, it stretches and tears which damages hair. I think you should ask a beautician.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

u shoulddd comb ur hair when wet..

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

You shouldn't brush your hair when it's wet. It's ok to use a wide tooth comb though as it de-tangles it and I do that.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

you shoul comb your hair when it is wet the worst thing you can do is brush it as a brush will break your hair use a wide toothed comb tho and to help stop your hair breaking use a good leave in conditioner this will make it easier to handle while it is wet.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

you can comb it when it's wet but you must use a wide tooth comb and be gentle and when you do it first detangle your hair with your fingers then use the wide tooth comb and be gentle . i do this and i have thick curly Afro hair and mine doesn't break you just have to be careful but hair is more prone to breakage when it's dry because dry hair has less flexibility anything dry does.

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

I'm one of those women who will not leave the house without my makeup on and hair carefully in place. My daughter thinks nothing of using no makeup, plunking a baseball cap on her head and going out in public. I've been like this since I was a teenager so this isn't an old lady thing for me.

Men, I'm assuming you don't wear makeup but do you shave and comb your hair before leaving home?

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

I've never been a 24x7 makeup person...I wear a bit of eyeliner, a touch of coverup, and lipstick and then only to work. On weekends I don't wear makeup at all...and yes, wear baseball caps! lol Not much of change from yesteryear...I prefer casual...

Now my youngest daughter is NEVER seen by ANY one without full makeup!...lol

And my son does not shave on weekends..

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

Yes,everyday.I got this habit from my mom,she used to be a model.

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

why wear makeup?it aint gonna make me look eny better.i brush my hair and wash my face before i go out in public if that helps eny.

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

hey my name is Meagan and im 15 years old ive been a part time model for a couple years and i dotn were makeup.

I believe makeup cover uo the real you and people will like you for what you look like not who you are. Think about what you believe in your self

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

I don't go out without doing my hair and make up either. I wouldn't say that each hair is carefully in place, but it is washed, dried and styled. We were raised that when you go out in public you should look your best. I always make sure that my clothes are clean too.

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

Oh gosh yes, must have my face on.

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

I make sure my hair is clean and poofed a bit but nothing fancy and I occasionally wear a ball cap, too. I wear a little bit of make up.

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

Same thing here. Started as a teen too. If I am just going to run a few errands I'll just wear a little make up and fix my hair, but it I am going to meet other people I go the whole route. At home I wash my face and run a brush though my hair and that's it.

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

I have been know to wear a cap because my hair is very long! But, the make-up is always in place and was drilled into my head not to leave the house without it because you always run into somebody that you don't want to without it!

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

As in my teen days like you, I still don't leave the house without putting light makeup on %26amp; styling my hair. I take a lot of pride in how I look, especially when leaving the house. I also like to smell feminine, so I always use my Jovan Musk cologne, daily, even if I'm not going anywhere. Ditto for lipstick. As a youngster, I'd see my mom apply lipstick %26amp; would always ask her where she was going. She'd laugh %26amp; say, "nowhere, I just like to wear it."

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

I try to, but most of the make up I want to wear, I'm allergic to.

For my hair, it's mostly up in a ponytail.

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

I wear a cap also because I don't have any hair left. (I take Chemo) I never leave the house without makeup because I need the color in my face.

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

I just wear a little make up, but my hair style has been the same for many, many, MANY years now.. I don't leave the house without my scant make up on, though, and, of course, my hair combed..

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

Nope not me. I did for many many years. Now I will run to the closest store ala natural. I do wear makeup more days than not. But it is not my routine to get up and put on my face first thing each morning. I did it for close to 40 yrs. and just am not as into it anymore.

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

Occasionally... but it just isn't that important to me. I have rarely spent money on a hair dresser so I would never be one of those little Lady's that go once a week to have their hair done. Although I think it is cute, the ones that do, that is. And, I do admire your wanting to look your best. I simply think that there is nothing wrong with going El-natural... most of that make up is not good for your skin anyway! The only make up I like is make up you can't tell someone as on... my hair is baby fine, always has been, so for me to style it, I must damage it and then spray on a whole can of hair spray or jell or some other concoction... Then I can't stand the feel or smell of it!

You my dear are beautiful... your little avatar has every hair in place so carry on your tradition in your fantastic style! Good for you.... just leave my baseball hat alone OK!

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

You know I have never worn makeup. At the time I should have been learning how (ages 14-16) It was the "back to nature movement" so I just never got into it. My mother is more like you and it just irks her that my sister and I won't even try on lipstick. When I go to get my hair cut I tell them to make sure it's something wash and wear because I won't spend even 5 minutes on it. I have 1 daughter who spends at least 1 hour a day on her hair. I have better things to do!!

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

I try to get a little bit of make up on in the morning. Not always able to.I wet and comb my hair every morning.I do spray perfume on,does that count?

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

Yes to both. I need all the help that I can get. There wasn't much in the way of makeup when I was young other than Tangee lipstick. I could get away with no makeup when young but as soon as some good products were available I was first in line. I wear a little foundation even when I am not going out. You never know who might knock on the door.

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

Yes, I like to look nice when I go out. I put a little makeup on

and always have my hair neat. I'm not as into it as I once was

because I retired and don't wear makeup just around the

house. But when I do go out, I like to wear a little makeup.

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

If I am in a hurry to run errands, all you get is a washed face. But if I am going to spend considerable time away from the house, and be among other people, then I put on make-up and fix my hair nicely.

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

I do style my hair, every day but, I have given up wearing make up. I know this is bad but I get up , every day at 5.30a.m. and I just can't be doing with make up at that time of the morning.

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

When I leave the house, I put on makeup and blow dry my hair or set it or do something with it. At home, no makeup, no shoes and hair just hanging out on my head or in a ponytail.

I don't eto shave my face, but my legs could use a little help. LOL!

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

I put my make up on and do my hair everyday, put lipstick on (I have a tube of lipstick in every drawer ) I wear make up and lipstick when I go to my exercise classes, even though I know I will be sweating! I am just one of those women that does that and always have, I get my roots dyed every 4 weeks. you will not see me without some makeup on, except when I first get up!

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

Nope! Haven't for years. although I am clean and well groomed, no make-up, braid or bunt my hair, wear jeans and t-shirts, just an aging "hippie" that prefers the very casual manner of dress.

I can still dress for a party, but the face and hair stay the same.

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

Not nearly as fanatically as I used to. Oh lord....last thing you would find me without is my make-up mirror and cosmetic CASE.....hair dryer and curling iron. I doubt I would have answered the phone without being done up, let alone go out. LOL Seriously....if they said evacuate....it was my make-up mirror etc. Now....I really don't care. Make-up doesn't seem to do the wonders it once did. LOL And well...the rest...who cares anymore. I just got done cutting 6 inches off my hair and nobody noticed. I get a new outfit...no one notices. Last year I blew about 200 dollars at the hair dressers.....came home and got...."I thought you were getting your hair done." There was a time when I got my nails done and someone noticed. Now I feel I need to keep from bathing, go naked and act insane and then someone might notice.....you know the crazy old woman. LOL

Ladies, do you wear makeup and style your hair?

I worked for 25 years with makeup and great hair mandatory five days a week, after being a teenager with a mother who insisted on attention to appearance. At 40 I came upon a serious medical matter that resulted in a permanent disability. It took about ten years or more to start relaxing about perfect hair and makeup. Now at 60, erranding means clean hair in an acceptable style -- and if not clean, your daughter's baseball cap -- moisturized skin, lipstick, sunglasses, and sometimes earrings.

When it hits me to have some fun for myself, I do the complete makeup thing. Sometimes play with my hair to vary styles.

Way I figure it, time gets too increasingly valuable to spend it in front of a mirror.

Will brushing/combing my hair make it grow longer?

ive always heard brushing or combing your hair up to 100 times a day will help it grow. is there any truth behind this (like is there somehow brushing can help encourage growth by stimulating the scalp) or is it just a myth?

Will brushing/combing my hair make it grow longer?

no, it's totally fake.

you can however massage your scalp and that stimulates the roots

Will brushing/combing my hair make it grow longer?

I don't know if that's true, but combing too much can cause hair loss. Brush no more that 10 times a day.

Will brushing/combing my hair make it grow longer?

Well, the only thing that I have herd is that cuting your hair will make it grow FASTER! I have never herd the other thingy.

How to comb black hair?

how do you comb black hair without it hurting?

How to comb black hair?

i'm assuming you mean hair that is extremely curly %26amp; dense. anywho, only comb while the hair is wet with conditioner in it. actually, it's better to use a brush instead to detangle your hair while it's wet with conditioner in it.

Why when I comb my hair it breaks off and it falls down from the end about 1"?What is the best

Every time I comb my hair it breaks off about 1" from the end, I have a long but not too long hair and it's so dry.

What is the best treatment for that?

Thank you so much!

Why when I comb my hair it breaks off and it falls down from the end about 1"?What is the best treatment 4 it

hot oil treatments by vo5. they work amazingly, honestly, theyre miracles lol. My hairwas sooo horribly damaged from straightening it every day with a cheap flat iron %26amp; no heat protectant (i did it for 3 years) %26amp; one treatment of hot oil actually showed results.

Why when I comb my hair it breaks off and it falls down from the end about 1"?What is the best treatment 4 it

Dont use a brush on wet hair. Find some hot oil treatments to help with the drying. If you want a home remedy then mayo is your answer. You apply mayo to your hair allow it to sit for about 10 minutes then wash it out normally. Use a bigger toothed comb. And always use good conditioner. I have been using Infusium 23 and its wonderful. Good Luck.

Why when I comb my hair it breaks off and it falls down from the end about 1"?What is the best treatment 4 it

My hair's like that too and it usually means that it's damaged. I've used every single conditioner in the world and for some reason hot oil has never done the trick. I've found that Bumble %26amp; Bumble Super Rich conditioner works best if you leave it on for longer than the 1 minute it recommends - I leave it on for about 5. Neutrogena Triple Moisture Mask works pretty well, too and it's about a third of the price. As far as leave-ins go, Kerastase Nutritive Lait Nutri-Sculpt is definitely the best but it's sooooooo expensive - $30 for 4.2 fl ounces!! So I usually go with Infusium 23, it's not AS good, but it comes pretty damn close and is literally like 5 times cheaper for 5 times the amount of product.

Why when I comb my hair it breaks off and it falls down from the end about 1"?What is the best treatment 4 it

Severe hair problems may cause anguish.Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. Here a few simple home remedies which can be tried at home to control hair fall. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea. Massage well and shampoo.Rub oil into the scalp. Wring out a towel in hot water and wrap it on the head. Keep it on for 15 minutes. Shampoo and dry well. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

After shampooing when and how is the best way to comb African American hair to avoid damaging the ha

Everytime I wash my hair, after i apply my leave in conditioner, I comb my hair but i have about 30 strands in the comb. What is the best way to comb my hair to avoid excess hair in the comb, and still have hair in my head?

After shampooing when and how is the best way to comb African American hair to avoid damaging the hair?

u should use a wide tooth comb

After shampooing when and how is the best way to comb African American hair to avoid damaging the hair?

Finger comb your hair. Also you maybe having breakage/shedding because you don't have a balance of protein and moisture in your hair. Go to this web forum they can give you a lot of tips on your hair. http://forum.blackhairmedia.com/

After shampooing when and how is the best way to comb African American hair to avoid damaging the hair?

use a wide tooth comb and a good de-tanager i have tresseme anti breakage really good, hair is most fragile when wet so be very very careful

After shampooing when and how is the best way to comb African American hair to avoid damaging the hair?

Use a wide tooth comb that is specifically for detangling. Do a small section at a time. Start combing through at the ends of your hair and gently work you way up to the scalp as the hair becomes untangled. Use a detangling shampoo/conditioner and detangling leave in conditioner. Carol's Daughter sells a great leave-in product that makes combing easier (Tui and Black Vanilla). http://www.carolsdaughter.com/products.a...

How can you tell the difference when your hair is shedding and when its simply falling out?

I've noticed strands of hair all over the place even when I don't comb my hair. Whats happening?

How can you tell the difference when your hair is shedding and when its simply falling out?

Your hair is shedding when you brush it or comb it and its hair in the brush of comb not a lot just some. Falling out is with the simple touch as your finger and a thick amount of hair is coming out.

How can you tell the difference when your hair is shedding and when its simply falling out?

People's hair doesn't shed, does it?

How can you tell the difference when your hair is shedding and when its simply falling out?

either way its falling out...

How can you tell the difference when your hair is shedding and when its simply falling out?

when its falling out the little white bulb is at the end, when it sheds, its just the dead hair, so there will be no bulb at the end...i think it goes that way!!!

Is this a good process to wash my hair?

1.I comb my hair out

2.Wash it with warm water(x2)

3.I dry it by patting it w/ a towel and add conditioner.

4.I leave it in for 10 min.

5.I wash it out using warm water also.

6.Blow dry(NOT on high,I don't want heat damage)

7.Use organic olive oil(Brand:Africa's best)

8.Dr. Miracle Temple and Nape Balm(Trying to promote growth.)

Am I doing good,...anything wrong?

Suggestions and tips are welcome :)

*I have African-American hair so some of the extra stuff I'm using is to keep it hydrated and healthy.

Is this a good process to wash my hair?

That sounds like a great routine. It's good to leave in your conditioner for a long time (like you do)....haha I need to start doing that!

Is this a good process to wash my hair?

yes sounds perfect .. i like the organic olive oil part gives me a feeling that it makes hair healthier

Is this a good process to wash my hair?

nope thats good but if you leave the condionter in for to long your hair will get greasy

Is this a good process to wash my hair?

WOW; your doing a REALLY good jonb keeping your hair healthy. So no. you're not doing anything wrong.. keep up the good workk yo:]

xoxo%26lt;3

Is this a good process to wash my hair?

sounds good to me

try rincing the conditioner with cool water and for a deep condition wrap a warm towel arround your hair

:]

Is this a good process to wash my hair?

sounds good, but you might want to rinse your hair with cold water to close the cuticle

Is this a good process to wash my hair?

Sounds good except for washing your hair twice. It's not necessary. It could dry your hair out, even tho you are doing the oil treatment.

Is this a good process to wash my hair?

Why not wash it at night then in the morning just style either with straightening iron or curling iron rather than blow dry at all, even on low.

To promote growth you will need to get your hair trimmed at least 8 weeks or less. Trimming will not cut length but will get rid of dead ends that will not allow your hair to grow longer.

Is this a good process to wash my hair?

Are you doing this every week? Anyways, its a good routine! Because you have afro hair, you should try deep conditioning once a week to keep you hair healthy and moisturized. Leaving the conditioner on your hair with a heat cap for an hour, detangle (with the conditioner still in your hair), and then rinse it out. Try air drying your hair as much as you possibly can, you'll be amazed at how much better your hair feels after a deep conditioning and air dry.

You can use any oil in the mint family; peppermint, rosemary, and tea tree oil and rub it on your temples and nape to stimulate blood flow and promote growth.

Is this a good process to wash my hair?

you will have average growth - trust me I've been doing the same thing for about 10 years. Try ..........

www.wildgrowth.com

It really works , I grew my hair 3 in a less than a MONTH !!! and some parts of my hair haven't gown that long in my whole life ( I'm 12 years old .) The oil is completely natural. I have seen less hair in my comb after using it and my hair is no longer damaged. it's shinny and full of luster.

How can I stop my hair from breaking everytime i comb it?

I am a African American woman and my hair is breaking. It started when I twist it one night, let it dry and took it down, because I wanted that wavey look. well, it didn't turn out right, and when i combed my hair it started breaking, and it has been breaking every since that day, before then, I would comb it all day and not breakage, could the twist have been the cause of the breakage, and what can I do to make my hair stop breaking and spliting and get strong again, like it was before the twist. Is there some type of treatment i can use to get my hair strong again, or is there something i can take. Last but not lest, how can you tell if your hair is strong and healthy, by doing a strand test, what do you look for? thanks for your help

How can I stop my hair from breaking everytime i comb it?

First of, let me say that I can completely understand where you're coming from. It's a terrible feeling when you have your hair healthy and looking nice and then to all of a sudden deal with breakage. It's annoying, but it can be helped. Do you know if your hair is breaking from the middle of the hair strand or from the root? If it's breaking from the middle, you may have put to much of a strain on your hair, over-processed it, using to much heat, lack of moisture...etc. If it's breaking from the root, that may be an indication of something internal such as: lack of proper diet, stress, nervousness, thyroid problem, not drinking enough water, ...etc. When you did the twisties, did you put in a setting lotion and leave-in conditioner so that your hair would air-dry but still hold in moisture? Because usually twisties and wet-sets are the preferred hairstyles that beauticians recommend when a client is experiencing breakage and shedding. However, you know that your hair is breaking and the main thing is to get the hair back strong again. And to do that you will definitely need a Reconstructor Conditioner and shampoos and conditioners that are moisturized. Reconstructor Conditioners are infused with Keratin Protein which is important for the hair to have. Protein in the hair is what makes it strong and helps to strop the breakage due to it being weak. Aphogee Reconstructor is good, Joico K-Pak Reconstructor is great but pricey, and CHI Silk Infusion have great treatments. Use a Reconstructor at least once a month or once every two weeks, but when you use this it's important to follow it with a moisturizing shampoo or conditioner or it will make your hair dry. When you wash your hair, use luke-warm water instead of hot water because it will dry the hair out more if it's already breaking and is dry. Wash your hair in the shower rather than over the sink because your less likely to tangle the hair when your washing it with your head going back. With the breakage, the least thing you need is for it to get tangled from washing it forward and then having to comb it trying to get the tangles out. Use a moisturizing shampoo like Cream of Nature, DesignEssentials, Mizani, and KeraCare. Then follow up with a deep conditioner and a leave-in conditioner. DesignEssentials has a great leave-in conditioner that's called Therapeutics RX leave-in conditioner that affordable and you can order it online. It smell good, leaves the hair very soft, and can be used everyday on damp or dry hair. And follow-up with wrapping your hair at night with a silk scarf. Drink lots of water, maybe take a Vitamin E supplement to help with the blood flow, and eat more protein and fruit. And most importantly, don't do box perms, go to your beautician if you need a perm, box perms will only make it worse. Right now, if you were to do the strand test, you would know if your hair is unhealthy by taking your index finger and your thumb and taking one hair strand and placing it between those two fingers and gently pulling it. If you pull the hair strand gently and it doesn't break, it just goes back into it's position, then your hair elascity is good and your hair is healthy. But if you pull it and it quickly breaks, then your elascity is poor and your hair is weak and unhealthy. If it's really bad you may have to cut of the damaged parts and start over, but if it's not, it's worth working with. Good luck.

How can I stop my hair from breaking everytime i comb it?

Try switching your shampoo and comb.

How can I stop my hair from breaking everytime i comb it?

I'm not an expert but I know that there are vitamins you can take to help strenghten hair. Make sure your getting your daily recommended amount of protein and other nutrients. And of course, wash and condition with good shampoo/conditioner. Good luck!

How can I stop my hair from breaking everytime i comb it?

It will definitely take a while to repair. Hair is very delicate and takes patience...but some things you can do along the way is to make sure you moisturize it...once or twice a week, you could put mayo all over your hair, and put a plastic bag over it and hold a dryer over it for about...but don't hold the dryer the whole time...every 3 minutes or so for just 10 seconds, just to heat it up..then rinse well, and apply a nice deep conditioner...one that i've noticed works great for my hair (not African-American but had very damaged hair because of dying) is Aussie's 3-minute miracle. Also, try to avoid brushing your hair while it's still wet...that breaks your hair, and yes, twisting it could have been the cause. As far as strand tests, I don't know much about that, but if your hair is breaking while brushing, then it's not healthy.

How can I stop my hair from breaking everytime i comb it?

buy a wig

How can I stop my hair from breaking everytime i comb it?

You definitely need to moisturize your hair. If you do it at home Queen Helene's Cholesterol treatment works well, and if you are on a budget you can buy a jar of mayonnaise and use that to condition you hair. I know it's gross but it definitely works. Another thing is to make sure that your ends are clipped...if you ends are ragged it won't matter if you condition or not...

How can I stop my hair from breaking everytime i comb it?

I do not know if it will work on your type of hair, but I use a shampoo and conditioner that is made by Herbal Essence. It is called Break's over and it helps prevent breakage.

Here is the website, for more information...

How can I stop my hair from breaking everytime i comb it?

After you wash your hair use almond oil as a treatment that gives ur hair shine and moister...You should be able to get it at the pharmacy and it doesnt cost much but make sure it is pure almond oil

How can I stop my hair from breaking everytime i comb it?

Comb it from the bottom of the strand little by little. Protein strengthens hair. I take gelatin. when you wash and dry it - use a conditioner for dry hair and don't rub it dry with a towel - wrap it up and kinda squeeze it.

How can I stop my hair from breaking everytime i comb it?

Your hair has become dry. You should of applied a comb out spray and a hairdressing before attempting to comb it out . Or your trying to comb too much hair at once. Need to take a small section and start at the roots (using a large wide tooth comb) and gently comb 1/4 of a inch at a time until you get to the ends.

Need to get your ends clipped and apply a deep conditioner to it.

What is itI turn polar bears white And I will make you cry.I make guys have to pee And girls comb their hair?

didn't they have this all over myspace bulletins saying 98% of kindergardeners could answer it, but only 2% of harvard students could or somethin?

many people have different thirys. some say time some say air some say presure and some flat out say no.

the one that makes most sense to me it the this one

TIME

The time has come,

winter is here

and those yellow bears disappear.

The time has past

as man looks back with a sigh

and a tear in his eye.

As time is held

boys cross their legs

but of course the toilet begs

As time marches on

Girls loose their blush

and swap a comb for their brush

As time passes

For those held high

their end is nigh

As time catches up

Everyone is equal

when we get to the final sequel

As time turns

Without it we have flour and water

With it we have breakfast for my daughter

As time revolves

How does one turn water and wine

into something so fine

As time runs out

The more in a minute you try and squeeze

the less you can do with ease.

As time ticks

All the time that has past

man cannot comprehend something so vast

What is itI turn polar bears white And I will make you cry.I make guys have to pee And girls comb their hair?

the answer is YES not no.

Most people will try to tell you the answer is no by saying "read the last line of the riddle." But the last line of the riddle reads exactly "Can you guess the riddle?" it does not say "Can you guess the riddle correctly." or "Can you answer the riddle." So in answer to this question the answer is YES. Yes I can guess the riddle. I may not guess the right answer.. but I CAN still guess. look, here is my guess. "I guess vodka." See? didn't I just take a guess? I know its not right, but it IS a guess. Anyone who says the answer is no... well they are just wrong.

What is itI turn polar bears white And I will make you cry.I make guys have to pee And girls comb their hair?

the answer in the beginning that i thought was time.. because in the begining poler bears are born yellowish.. but then i thought pressure.. and air.. but in the end since so many kindergarden children knew the answer i though of something simple.. the answer is "no" because it says "can you guess the riddle" asking kindergardeners this riddle.. most of them would reply "no" feel free to contact me on myspace www.myspace.com/acd911

What is itI turn polar bears white And I will make you cry.I make guys have to pee And girls comb their hair?

I turn polar bears white

And girls comb their hair.

Can you guess the riddle?

97% of Harvard graduates can not figure this riddle out,

But 84% of kindergarten students were able to figure this out,

In 6 minutes or less.

Can you guess the riddle?

ok listen i know the exact answer and that answer is "no"

if kindergarteners can guess this riddle over harvard graduates, than it shouldnt be too complicated. harvard graduates will be thinking technically so they are going to be thinking of an idea or an object.

kindergarten students are not going to be thinking like that

so look at the last line of the riddle, "can you guess the riddle" now ask yourself, can i guess the riddle, the answer is no. there is no thinking involved, you are basically being asked if you can answer it. ask that to a kindergarten student and they will say, "no way"

What is a good product for lose of hair?

I am not balding or anything like that but I have been noticing that more than the normal amount of hair falls off when I shower and when I comb my hair.

What is a good product for lose of hair?

try wildhair growth,worked for me

What is a good product for lose of hair?

Are you stressed out a lot, or a worrier lately. I know this sounds silly but my fiance's mom says the green palmolive works if you use a little like shampoo. Maybe b/c it's basically a degreaser and maybe it removes sebum build-up on your scalp and allows plugged pores to grow hair better or again. beats me ....but she said she knew someone that used it and helped her.

What is a good product for lose of hair?

on average 80 hairs a day will fall out and regenerate themselves. if you don't brush your hair out beforeI'mtting in the shower you will probably notice what came out of your head but didn't fall out of 'the nest' during the night.

if you've been growing your hair out each hair is longer making it appear as if you are loosing more than you actually are.

there is a product line out there for fine and thinning hair but right now i can't think of the name ( and i'm a professional hair stylist ) but you must be careful - the one thing they (professionals) won't tell you is that you will 'grow hair' where you don't want it - your BACK- if you use it in the shower. it doesn't grow hair on your back, but it will make them appear fuller, thicker, and darker.

What is a good product for lose of hair?

eat a healthy diet, thats all the more importanmt for healty hain, more proteins

What is a good product for lose of hair?

I would advise you use a professional product sold at hair salons. Redken and Eufora are good shampoos and conditioners. Are you stressing out a lot? If you are, I would suggest you try to stop because that makes your hair weak! Avoid chemical treatments on your hair, like dyes, highlights, perms, relaxers, and hot styling tools. They often make the hair brittle and dry and you might even lose hair. Take hair nutrients. I recommend Shen Min's Hair Nutrient. It is a very high quality product and it makes the hair very strong. Good luck!

Everytime i bursh or comb my hair, it comes out.. What's the prob.?

OK it all started when i spend the night over my cousin house, and i didn't have my scarf to tie around my head so i slept on the pillow. Then the next day i comb my hair into a ponytail and it was shedding really bad. I mean a lot,I was on my period that day. Then i went back home and tied my hair and slept on a silky pillow and then i brush my hair the next day -n- it did the same thing.. So today i tried to put water in it, then it still did it, so i put oil in it -n- it because i figure it was that.

* What is up w/ my hair?

* Is it because of my period?

Everytime i bursh or comb my hair, it comes out.. What's the prob.?

it could be because your hair is growing...hair sheds as it grows

some of your hair could have gotten some split ends because of the pillow you slept on

just wait a week to see what happens...it's probably nothing serious

Everytime i bursh or comb my hair, it comes out.. What's the prob.?

periods have nothing to do with that.Sometimes it can be shedding...If you use stuff that's harmful spray or hair dyes, you should stop doing that cause that can cause hair loss.

alana:)

Everytime i bursh or comb my hair, it comes out.. What's the prob.?

No, it's not your period. I don't need to tell you to not to sleep on a cotton pillow since I see you already know that. When your hair sheds like that, you need to give your hair a really good shampoo and deep conditioning. My hair usually sheds a lot when I need to shampoo and deep condition my hair again. After you do that, make sure to apply a good leave in conditioner and try to let your hair air dry in some braids. That way, you can cut down the damage caused by blow drying. When your hair is dry, make sure you apply some type of heat protectant such as a cream, oil, serum, or silicone spray before you flat iron and/or curl your hair. In the future, make sure you always have your scarf with you because you just never know when you might need it!

What does combing your hair do to it?

When you comb your hair what does it do to it? What makes it look diffrent from uncombed hair?

What does combing your hair do to it?

Combing smooths an aligns the hairs so they are all in the same direction. The combing looks more tidy than not combing.

What does combing your hair do to it?

well, when u comb ur hair, it takes the tangles out of your hair, makes it glossier too!閳?br>What does combing your hair do to it?

It gets rid of loose hairs %26amp; it distributes the oil. Well, combed hair does look more groomed!

What does combing your hair do to it?

It depends on its lenght.

What does combing your hair do to it?

The fact that all your hairs are lined up, so you can count them.

What does combing your hair do to it?

it makes it looked combed. lol. it takes out tha frizziness[ depending on wat kind of hair you have] and it makes your hair look shiny.believe it or not it does bcuz tha oil from tha top of ur head get onto tha brissles of tha comb and comb through tha rest of ur hair [which is how all of ur hair looks conditioned and healthy]. hope that helped!

What does combing your hair do to it?

it makes it all go in one direction so that you don't look disheveled and unkempt.

What does combing your hair do to it?

It looks neater, you can style it and if you use a brush it will stimulate blood flow helping your hair to grow faster and healthier.

What does combing your hair do to it?

1. It straightens out the strands (detangles them) and separates them from one another.

2. It spreads your natural oils throughout the hair. This is good because it distributes oil to the ends of your hair which don't get enough.

3. Yes, it looks different from uncombed hair. Maybe a day without combing would be okay, but after that people would be able to tell. You wouldn't want people to view you as an unkempt person would you?

What does combing your hair do to it?

it makes it neater and organized !!

What does combing your hair do to it?

so you dont walk around looking like you just crawled out of bed or have a godam rats nest!! get a life idiott!!

What does combing your hair do to it?

One, the obvious is that it detangles the hair, and styles it. And two, it helps the natural oils from your scalp coat the hair which keeps the hair from being dry and damaged. The oils on your scalp is better than any conditioner you can buy. But if your hair is longer that 6 inches long you will probably "need" a conditioner because the longer the hair is the "older" it is and has been through more wind, sun, brushing, chemicals, etc. and needs more conditioning than what the scalp will put out. Finally, everyones sebacious (oil) glands are different, and may make more or less oil than your hair requires, that is why there is such a wide variety of hair care products.

What does combing your hair do to it?

stimulates folicules and makes it grow

What does combing your hair do to it?

it takes all the knots out of your hair and makes it shine and gives you static

What does combing your hair do to it?

It stimulates the brain cells and makes a man look neat not messy.

How do you back comb hair so that it has volume at the top like celebrities?

Some beauty supply stores have this tool, it's like a little comb (or pick) only it has "wires" instead of plastic teeth - it works great. Be gentle when doing it and make sure to spray it well when you are finished.

How do you back comb hair so that it has volume at the top like celebrities?

It isn't how you comb your hair but the product you use. You some volumizing shampoo and condition as well as moose or gel. just apply and lift your hair to get air caught in it.

How do you back comb hair so that it has volume at the top like celebrities?

I wouldn't back comb hair......... it causes it to get very tangled and unknotting it causes split ends and tears! :(

How do you back comb hair so that it has volume at the top like celebrities?

TeAsInG HaIR WItH A CoMB?

what is teasing hair with a comb mean? and how do u do it?

TeAsInG HaIR WItH A CoMB?

It basically means brushing your hair the wrong way. Take a fine toothed comb and take a section of your hair, then pull the section tight and place the comb in the middle of the section, then move the comb up to your head. Keep doing this until your hair gets poofy and you will have teasted your hair. =]

TeAsInG HaIR WItH A CoMB?

It is when you grab some hair and place the comb on it, so the teeth of the comb come out the other side of your hair. And if you go up and down it tangles it up a bit. Usually people do this closer to the scalp. What it does is it makes your hair poof up a little when you lay your hair down. Hope that wasn't too confusing.

TeAsInG HaIR WItH A CoMB?

You tease your hair to make it stand up. I tease the top of my hair, where it is shorter than the rest of my hair, so that it will stick up. I use a pick or a comb to do it.

This is from about.com on how to tease:

Rule #1: Focus on the crown. Teasing at your crown -- rather than all over -- will give you just the right amount of volume.

Rule #2: Skip the comb. Stylists recommend using a flat-backed brush instead of a comb, the brushes are easier on your locks.

Rule #3: Get creative. Curl your hair in rollers, slick hair back in a low ponytail or pull a headband into place. I also love it when a basic curled hair has oomph from teased hair. Have fun with your new volume.

Laser comb for hair regrowth?

I try to comb my hair but there is always a little tuft of hair sticking up. What should I do?

you should probably get some gel and put it on the part that is stickin up and brush it down

I try to comb my hair but there is always a little tuft of hair sticking up. What should I do?

Use a little bit of gel to hold it in place...not too much tho because then you'll just look silly.

I try to comb my hair but there is always a little tuft of hair sticking up. What should I do?

Get some hair gel. Redken Polish Up works really good. It's kinda expensive, but I use it and it's worth it.

I try to comb my hair but there is always a little tuft of hair sticking up. What should I do?

Use sunsilk hyda tlc hair cream ( in the pink bottle), it works great! i know from experiance...

Good luck!!

Back combing / teasing hair?

Ok. i like back combing ma hair but it seems to fall out quite easy is there any way i can stop this ? And is there a way you can stop it harming your hair ?

Back combing / teasing hair?

do not backcomb , that is just damaging ur hair. they have so many stying products %26amp; irons %26amp; stuff . i have straight thin hair %26amp; all i do is color Highlite, have a good haircut %26amp; blowdry with a round brush, then hairspray. backcombing is out dated anyway. go to the salon %26amp; get a style that would be easier

Back combing / teasing hair?

Make sure your hair is well conditioned. If your hair is dry or brittle, it becomes more prone to breakage.

Also, be gentle when doing backcombing. If you're rough with it, you'll damage your hair more so...and don't backcomb everyday. That's the worst thing you can do.

Back combing / teasing hair?

well sweety, first of all, only way you can stop it from harming your hair is to not do it that often, and get some amazing conditioner. and if you dont want it to fall out so easy, try using a finer comb, like a dreadlocking comb, nd dont pull on your hair when you pull back, be gentle on it

Back combing / teasing hair?

use hairspray after you back-comb it, then smooth the top layer over.

There is a product call "what a tease" made by Sexy Hair. It is heavy duty stuff.

As for harming your hair...don't back-comb too harshly. The damage can happen if you are going at it so hard that it breaks off hair while you are doing it, so lighten your touch. Also, use a good, moisturizing conditioner.

Hair brush or comb?

I want to grow my hair long i usually my brush my hair when its wet! What should i choose? Brush or comb? Which brand?

Hair brush or comb?

For long wet hair I recommend a comb - the best combs have 2 rows of teeth that alternate - mine is a scunci brand "detangling comb". The combs with the 2 rows of teeth seem to be hard to come by but are definately worth it. I also like to use a tibit of leave in conditioner prior to combing out wet locks. Part the freshly washed hair half over each shoulder and focus on one half at a time. Start combing at the bottom and work your way up. Repeat.

For dry hair I prefer a brush. I like the paddle brushes that have rounded bristles on a flexible pillow-like base. Currently I have a Conair brand.

Hair brush or comb?

Conair Hair Brush

Hair brush or comb?

Comb. When your hair is wet, and you brush your hair--It can break very easily.

It's more fragile when wet. So, use a comb.

Any brand is fine.

Hair brush or comb?

I have always heard even if your hair is dry or wet, a comb is always better for your hair. It won't break your hair as easily.

Hair brush or comb?

Well I say you sjould use a brush it works alot better but to get your hair long in like a couple hours hair intescions

but when it's wet I suggest to use a Comb good luck

any brand is good :)

Hair brush or comb?

use a brush i would say. brand doesnt matter as long as u feel comfortable using it n c that the bristles r not too hard or not too soft.

Hair brush or comb?

Make sure if you are going to brush your hair when it's wet that you have a detangler or a little dab of conditioner applied to it--and I would use a wide-toothed comb or a detangling brush. Once you get the snarls out, you can use a regular comb, like if you wanted to get some kind of styling cream combed through.

If I comb my hair the way I want everyday, how long until it stays the way I want naturally?

If I comb my hair the way I want everyday, how long until it stays the way I want naturally?

How to comb your hair with gel?

how are you suppose to comb your hair with gel... i been using gel for the last year or two and theres white stuff coming out after a few hours and i dont know why. when I use a comb,i get rid of most of the white foam in my hair. are you suppose to do that or not?

How to comb your hair with gel?

yes its normal keep doing what u do does it work for u

How to comb your hair with gel?

that happened to me once too. well if u comb it and it gets rid of it then it works so just keep doing what ur doing if u like the results of it :)

How to comb your hair with gel?

you should not have white stuff in your hair at all try using a little less gel

How to comb your hair with gel?

You aren't suppose to comb it. When you shampoo (do this frequently) and condition (this too) comb the conditioner through your hair. Once you have styled with the gel do not comb till the next wash. If you wet your hair every morning you won't need to add much product, just restyle.

Combing long hair when wet?

Is it ok to? I have long thin/fine hair. Which is more damaging: combing when wet or waiting until dry to comb?

Combing long hair when wet?

Technically, you should leave you hair alone until it is dry if at all possible. Hair is more vulnerable to damage when it is wet. It sounds like you and I have the very same type hair. If I try to let my hair air dry, it dries tangled and then I have more problems because I have to straighten it which is even worse as far as damage goes. What I do is I use a detangling leave in conditioner and VERY gently pick through the hair with a wide toothed comb, letting the comb glide out when you hit a tangle. I put my hair up in a soft scrunchy until it is almost dry after I comb it. That keeps the pollution off of it while it dries and keeps it from retangling until it is more resistant to damage by drying.

Also be sure to keep up with your hair trims...don't let the ends get too bad or you'll be able to tell when you're trying to get after shower tangles out. You might also look into getting an occasional deep conditioning treatment.

Hope I helped.

Combing long hair when wet?

I always comb my hair when it's wet with a pick because it seems for me to be the least painful. I'd suggest washing your hair with shampoo, then putting some conditioner in it, wash it out, and then applying a straightening gel or a defrizzing spray or a detangling spray to help you comb it easier,

Combing long hair when wet?

i always comb my hair before applying gel or scrunch spray and have never had a problem. just a wide toothed comb though and not a brush. ; )

Combing long hair when wet?

I always comb the hair before I get in the shower, and after i get out and blot it with a towel.

Just don't rub it dry, or brush when dry - it will cause splitting and breaking.

Combing long hair when wet?

Both my daughter and I have long hair. We use a "shower comb" which is a very wide tooth plastic comb, when our hair is wet. We also use Aveda's detangler which works great and smells good too. Also, use plenty of conditioner. I have thin straight hair, so I use a voluminizing shampoo and conditioner, which works great, but for some reason it does make my hair harder to comb afterwards without the detangler. Good luck!

Combing long hair when wet?

both are damaging to an extent but brush with a wide tooth comb when wet. Always start at the ends and work your way up and then after it is dry brush again- first with the comb to get through any tangles with the smallest amount of damage then brush with a brush to smooth it out

Combing long hair when wet?

yes it ok i have straight hair

Combing long hair when wet?

wait until it's dry. Hair ,(especially fine hair like mine and yours) when combed wet doesn't break the hair that you can see, but it stretches the hair and the hair becomes weaker, and this makes it easier to snap and break. Eventually this could end with very short hair like my friend. she had the same hair as me and use to comb it when wet, it just started breaking and she had to cut it short. I really hope this helps and I would not comb my hair when wet.

Combing long hair when wet?

my parents are hair stylist and they said to start at the bottom and go up and if there are tangles DONT BRUSH OVER THEM HARD start at the bottom of them and go up

Combing your hair?

Other than making your hair look great is there any other benefit by combing your hair attentively?

Combing your hair?

There are benefits to brushing the hair that are proven, specifically when using a natural-bristle brush. Brushing helps to remove dirt, and product build-up in the hair and from the scalp. It helps to distribute the natural oils produced by the follicles and glands of the scalp. It helps to stimulate the scalp to promote blood-flow and regulate the oil production.

But, Over-brushing the hair can lead to hair damage, such as split ends. If you are brushing your hair before bedtime, you should only brush it sufficiently to remove any tangles (doing so gently). You should also use a natural-bristle brush (such as boar's hair) and work from the ends of the hair to the scalp.

Comb your hair when it's wet and use a brush when it's dry.

When the hair is wet, it is swollen and weaker and brushing with bristled brushes can stretch and damage the hair. It IS advisable to always use a wide-toothed comb on wet hair, but a brush that has widely-spaced tines is an acceptable tool for detangling wet hair.

Combing your hair?

no

Combing your hair?

it distribute the natural oils of your hair evenly...so it makes your hair healthier too.

Combing your hair?

yes it keeps the hair from matting up and also combing and or brushing the hair stimulates blood flow in the scalp which helps with hair growth.

Combing your hair?

combing your hair also distributes the hairs natural oils to the length of your hair

Combing your hair?

no

Combing your hair?

If you never groomed your hair it would knot and get matted and you'd never get a comb or brush through it again. You'd have to cut it all off.

Do you drive with the windows down and comb your hair at every stop?

On a nice day when you don't need the car air conditioner running or the heat on, do you comb your hair every time you bring the car to a halt, just to get it messed again as the car is moving?

I do. lol

Do you drive with the windows down and comb your hair at every stop?

hahaha.

no but one time i didnt have time to do my hair so well we were on the freeway i 'blew dry' my hair with the window down and a hair brush. lol.

Do you drive with the windows down and comb your hair at every stop?

haha.... sorry to say but sometimes.

Do you drive with the windows down and comb your hair at every stop?

Nope. I just put it back in a ponytail and the wind fly through.

Do you drive with the windows down and comb your hair at every stop?

Heavens no. My friend used to have a car with no air conditioner (absolute murder at a red light during a Georgia summer afternoon) so we went everywhere with the windows down and just pulled our hair back into looped ponytails.

If we'd left it down she wouldn't have been able to see how to drive and I'd have never been able to brush mine again.

Will i go bald? Why do my hair come out after i take a shower??

Whenever i comb my hair after i shower a whole bunch of hair comes out. If this keeps happening will i go bald???

Will i go bald? Why do my hair come out after i take a shower??

Assuming you are a young woman and healthy, than "No", you are not going bald. If you have dark hair (say asian hair which is also thick) then you are going to see lots of it when it falls out.

You can lose 100's of hair each day, esp if you hair is thick. If you have longer hair it is also a lot more obvious when some of it lands on the bathroom floor.

I think you can relax on this one :)

Will i go bald? Why do my hair come out after i take a shower??

no it is the dead hairz

Will i go bald? Why do my hair come out after i take a shower??

Its normal to have some hair come out in the shower. More if you wear your hair in a pony-tail for extended periods of time without brushing it. Try combing it before you get into the shower to reduce the amount of hair in the bathtub. Or you could brush it while you have a conditioner on it.

So as long as its not a huge handful you should be fine

Will i go bald? Why do my hair come out after i take a shower??

i have super thick hair, when i take a shower i get handfuls of hair falling out, i'm not bald yet so i think maybe its your hair thinning itself out... stress does that to people... maybe thats it.

Will i go bald? Why do my hair come out after i take a shower??

Its normal to lose hair. You lose about 100 strands everyday. However, it could be that you're allergic to something in your shampoo or stress related

Will i go bald? Why do my hair come out after i take a shower??

that happened to me too except i had a baby 4 months prior and i guess it is supposed to happen...it freaks me out though too. try some vitamins especially for hair and nail growth

Will i go bald? Why do my hair come out after i take a shower??

noo, new hairs grow all the time. and i forget the number or hairs that falls out everyday but everyones hair falls out daily, even if you dont know it. dont worry!

Will i go bald? Why do my hair come out after i take a shower??

if it keeps happening, switch to garnier fructis sleek and shine, because i used to have the same problem, but now even when i pull on my hair really hard, it hardly falls out

Will i go bald? Why do my hair come out after i take a shower??

No!

It is a natural thing! believe it or not, just as much hair that is falling out, new hair is growing in, you won't go bald!

It is just the dead hair that is falling out, which is a good thing, you wouldn't want a whole bunch of dead hair on your head!

Don't worry about it, your body is probably trying to clean itself.

Hope I helped !

閳?- Kay - 閳?br>Will i go bald? Why do my hair come out after i take a shower??

It's definitely normal for hair to come out during a shower. I have REALLY thick hair and a LOT of it falls out evey day. It's like a cycle. You lose some hair, you grow some new hair.

Will i go bald? Why do my hair come out after i take a shower??

I do know how to cure it if that helps..... Take kelp supplement..... It really works.

Will i go bald? Why do my hair come out after i take a shower??

no. humans lose an average of 100 hairs a day, but u still shouldnt comb your hair while its wet. try to detangle it while the conditioner is still in and not get it tangled in the process of rinsing and drying. combing it dry will yield a lot fewer hairs falling out.

What causes the comb to get stuck when I use it; I am male, have thick hair but cannot figure out wh

to comb my hair. It is not short, but not long.

What causes the comb to get stuck when I use it; I am male, have thick hair but cannot figure out why it hurts

You probably have tangles in it. Start from the ends and work your way up.

What causes the comb to get stuck when I use it; I am male, have thick hair but cannot figure out why it hurts

dude ur hairs just a lil messy so its basiclly like knots in long hair plus combs dont have give like a brush does so it catches everything

What causes the comb to get stuck when I use it; I am male, have thick hair but cannot figure out why it hurts

Use a wide toothed comb, maybe even an afro comb. It should hurt less when you comb it through.

What causes the comb to get stuck when I use it; I am male, have thick hair but cannot figure out why it hurts

try a little conditioner and the comb shouldnt get stuck

What causes the comb to get stuck when I use it; I am male, have thick hair but cannot figure out why it hurts

Use some conditioner when you shampoo your hair. Rub it into your hair and scalp thoroughly but gently with the tips of your fingers. Let the conditioner remain in your hair for at least 1 minute but not more than 3. Rinse thoroughly. Dry with a towel gently in the same manner as you applied the conditioner. Use a texturing hair brush. This is a brush with stiff bristles but with little "buds" on the tip of each bristle. After you shape your coif with the brush roughly you can then shape it with your comb painlessly because it should be tangle free. Hope I've been helpful. Thanks for the 2 points!

Combing wet hair??

i read in a magazine that you should not comb or brush wet hair...but if you are going to blow dry your hair how can you not brush it first? Does anyone know about this? Is it just a myth or whatever?

ps. while your here do you know any home rededies for stronger hair? Tips?

Combing wet hair??

What I've read and heard before is that you are supposed to comb your hair once it is wet and not use a brush. Think about it thats what the hair stylist does when you get your hair done they use combs. I've always brushed mine though it just goes faster. Sorry no idea on home remedies to make it stronger, try searching the net. Just type in something like 'stronger hair home remedy'. Good luck.

Combing wet hair??

i heard that you do not brush your wet hair. but comb it with a wide-tooth comb.

Combing wet hair??

yes it is true. the general rule is pat your hair dry from the shower. no rough rubbing which causes breakage and frizz just pat it and squeeze lightly. wait 10 to 15 mins before brushing and do not brush hard or breakage will occur. for stronger hair try an avocado and olive oil mix which will also add shine and luster you.

Combing wet hair??

it doesnt make your hair stronger, but for me,when i comb my hair when its wet, then i blow dry it,it makes it smoother.

Combing wet hair??

I've heard a couple things are good, doing an overnight wrap with a little peppermint oil mixed in some olive oil.

Or.... rinse with flat beer...

Combing wet hair??

I don't know if it is a myth or not but I use a very wide toothed comb when my hair is wet to get the tangles out.and I don't have much for breakage in my hair.

I don't know if it is for strength for sure but I love hair masque from biolage, smells great and feels wonderful after

Combing wet hair??

I read in a magizine that u shouldnt brush your hair when its wet because it can break easier when it is wet. u r only supposed to comb your hair with a wide toothed comb if its wet. but what i do is i comb my hair when its wet really good and then when i blow dry it i use a brush but im really careful. and to get stronger or thicker hair u should really try a good shampoo like biolage i use it and when i wasnt using it for a few months my hair got thinner and weaker.

Combing wet hair??

my friend is a stylist she said use a wide tooth comb to comb through wet hair, use Infusium 23 for stronger hair it is a leave in treatment makes my hair silky.

Combing wet hair??

Brush with a comb from the bottom up.

Combing wet hair??

You're right--It isn't good to brush/comb wet hair, but for styling, it's a necessity. Ah, the things we do to look beautiful. Here is how to minimize damage:

Always, always, always use a good conditioner. I suggest any of the ones in the Bed Head product line. (They are all equal in conditioning effectiveness, but my favorite is Dumb Blonde--love the scent). Towel dry after washing/conditioning. Next, use a wide toothed comb to get out tangles (start at bottom and then gradually comb down from the higher parts). Then, let your hair air dry about 80%. Finish styling with a blowdryer and a paddle brush with thick plastic bristles.

If you are going to flat iron or curl your hair, wash/dry it the night before--the more moisture that is in your hair, the more damage the heat styling will do to it. (The style will also stay better and you'll have fewer fly-aways because the extra hours will give your hair more time to replenish its natural oils.) There are also several styling products that you can spritz on before curling/flat ironing that can protect your hair from the heat damage. Check with your hairstylist, or try Ulta.com.

Happy styling!

Combing wet hair??

yeah it's true, because your hair is very delicate when it is wet. but you can comb, you just shouldn't toss it around or handle it roughly when it is wet. if you wanna comb it, comb it gently.

OK, THIS IS THE ONLY INFO YOU NEED! first, if you have dandruff use Selsun Blue, it will take care of that problem.

If I comb my hair too much can I become gay?

My dad said I take too much time combing my hair so he says I'm a gay guy and it makes me angry and sad and then I yell back and he just laughs it away and says to my brothers that I'm a sissy boy so they just laugh and hit he hard. Even sometimes my mom gets angry too but she keeps quiet and just waits until brothers go outside. How can I make my hair nice and combed but not comb it so I can't become a gay guy anymore?

If I comb my hair too much can I become gay?

If I comb my hair too much can I become gay?

look pleaswe go to 2 google and see the EXACT definition of gay

stop being silly and combing ur hair all the time. ur not gay, ur just a little too metrosexual (not a VERY bad thing)

will power alone can help.

or, just shave ur head... its desperate, but its gotta work, right?

good luck

If I comb my hair too much can I become gay?

uh oh!

what is going to happen down the road, when you come out of the closet.?

be ready to move out of the house.

If I comb my hair too much can I become gay?

Yes.I believe that if you comb your hair more then three times then you will become gay. Also, if you wash your hair more then twice in a day you will become a hermaphrodite and wearing cologne will turn you into a bisexual.

If I comb my hair too much can I become gay?

your dad is just getting retarded.....

how can combing your hair be gay......

with that idealism we could say that eating hotdogs (food) is gay....which is not........

If I comb my hair too much can I become gay?

be thanful u have hair to comb. One day u will wish u could comb it all over again

If u belive in that myth masturbating will make u blind too

If I comb my hair too much can I become gay?

so, straight guys are supposed to have messy hair or something? and all guys who have nicely combed hair are gay? that's got to be the dumbest thing I've read so far today (wait..it's only 715am....got a long day ahead).

If I comb my hair too much can I become gay?

There's nothing wrong with wanting to make a good appearance, and no it does not make you gay. It shows that you take pride in yourself. I'm not sure how old you are, but depending on what your career choice will be, good grooming can be a major factor in the work force. I won't critisize your parents at all, that's not my place, but my advice to you is to try not to let what others consider funny or 'sissy' to interfer with what you believe. The hitting part I must say, is wrong, but try to understand maybe, maybe the things they say may be a misguided way of just teasing you out of fun. Let your parents know how you feel and hopefully it will stop. Good luck to you.

If I comb my hair too much can I become gay?

Guys could and should look clean and have a proper hygiene. That is not gay. Whining like a little school girl. That is gay.

I HAVENT brushed or combed my hair in about 4 months....?

is this making it healthier???

i mean i comb it out with my hands in the shower %26amp; when i get out of the shower but thats it i dont use hair tools.

i have really THICK CURLY biracial [hispanic/black] hair...

and i dont have white/black hair where its thin %26amp; smooth curls...i have really unruley curly hair

i heard that brushing really curly hair is a no no bcus it causes frizz %26amp; combing curly hair causes breakage.

i mean it seems thiner %26amp; a little bit healthier but i think its just all in my head.

i havent put any kinds of chemicals or anything at all in my hair for a month...all i do is leave in the conditioner [mane %26amp; tail] that i wash my hair with %26amp; style..as you can tell iam trying to get it back to its healthy state like i use to have it when i was younger.

I HAVENT brushed or combed my hair in about 4 months....?

Dont listen to these people!!! They obsiously have not dealt with curly, unruly hair before- it needs complety different treatment. You are right- dont brush it. Now I know all these straight heads are gunna freak out, but DONT wash it either.. WAIT!! ITs not as gross as it sounds!! ITs called the 'curly girl no-poo' routine and you can read about it on the website www.naturallycurly.com. Basically, dont put any sillicones in your hair at all (check the ingredients of your leave-in, gels, mousses, conditioners, whatever, for anything that ends in -cone). Its not that silicones are bad or anything, but SHAMPOOS are, they contain sulphates which wreak havoc on curly hair, drying it out even more, which is the last thing we want.

SO anyway, if u put sillicones on your hair and dont use shampoo, they wont come out- you will end up with gross build up. (try and stay away from producst that have proteins added to them too) Surprisingly enough, conditioner will get your hair fairly clean without even using shampoo, just stay away from those '-cones.'

So there you go- wash your hair with conditioner, throw away any products with a '-cone' in the ingredients, only brush hair with your fingers, use leave in conditioners and moisturing hair masks, thats about it. A lot of curly girls are doing this routine now- it really makes a difference. Anyway, check out that website, it was a real lifesaver for me.

Hope this makes sense!! Good luck.

PS: dont give up and straighten your hair- we curly girls rock!!!

I HAVENT brushed or combed my hair in about 4 months....?

no it makes it worse go and have a shapoo

I HAVENT brushed or combed my hair in about 4 months....?

Good for you.......so your question is?

I HAVENT brushed or combed my hair in about 4 months....?

I dont think its making your hair any healthier...

I HAVENT brushed or combed my hair in about 4 months....?

If it looks OK to you, continue. Doubt the practice is making it healthier, but, hey, it's your hair and your appearance.

I HAVENT brushed or combed my hair in about 4 months....?

Oh no.. I guess that makes your hair a haven for bacteria and all sort of germs,, A shampoo would be nice though the chemical can get too strong. Just use it every other day or thrice a week. It's also good to drink lots of water and get enough sleep.

I HAVENT brushed or combed my hair in about 4 months....?

i could never go a week without brushing my hair becuse it takes 20 minutes every day just to comb it and my hair is thin. i say comb it twice a day very gently. and have your own brush that comforts you the most. good luck!

I HAVENT brushed or combed my hair in about 4 months....?

My daughter is 8 and she washes her hair in the shower at night.Doesn't comb it and goes to school. I think it looks better combed but she likes it this way.

I HAVENT brushed or combed my hair in about 4 months....?

I would say good for you since ur doing shampoo and leave in conditioner mainly. If you wanted you can use like hairspray or something but just make sure there are no parabans in there or SLS (sodium laur... sulf...--ahh i forget) since they are bad for hair's health. the parabans are bad for ur body too while SLS just dries up hair although manyyy hair products (shampoos, conditioners, etc) have it in there. Since your hair is very curly it means it's dry too so ya it doesn't need SLS in there to make it even drier. If you want natural or organic things that doesn't contain those two chemicals, you can just try the local natural foods and products store for it. Also here's a site that helps you choose good products for not the health of ur hair but also for ur body too: http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/index.p...

Also def. do not do that brushing/combing, I have same type of hair like u do too and I noticed there was lotttt less frizz, breakage of hair when I stopped doing them.

Just continue using ur fingers and hands for combing thru hair and you're fine.

Also I think it might seem a bit thinner and a bit healthier cuz I think ur hair grew maybe now to shoulder or midback or somewhere that kinda length. For thick curly hair, the curls would be weighed down by its own weight (it's natural for it) and would be more structured, etc. So unlike in medium or short hair, the curls would be lot more bearable to be w/. That's why it's good to have like atleasttt shoulder length hair or past that for thick curly hair to be tamed more. Since it prob seems lot more straighter to you since its weighed down by its own weight (If i'm right abt ur length of hair), it seems more healthier.

If this works for you, then def continue it. Not only good for ur hair but also for ur body too. :D

I HAVENT brushed or combed my hair in about 4 months....?

bullshit!!no! go %26amp; comb it!! NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS,

YOU NEED TO BRUSH/ COMB YOUR HAIR DAILY.

there are natural oils on your scalp and for distributing those oils, you need to brush your hair daily.

[however, dont overbrush it..] dont continue this please, your ruining your own hair...take care if it!

nope it doesnt make hair healthier...eat healthy if you want healthier hair! you told your not using chemicals, THATS GREAT! stop using all chemicals n heated tools...they damage hair. yeah, of course when we were younger, we may not be using these heated appliances like blow driers , straightners etc....

I HAVENT brushed or combed my hair in about 4 months....?

i have the same kind of hair and i do the same thing theres nothing wrong with it but instead of combing in the shower then when you get out only finger comb it in the shower and dont use any tools because that damages wet hair and dont brush it dry because that will just get it wicked frizzy

I HAVENT brushed or combed my hair in about 4 months....?

Yes, it's health and it's completely normal. Don't listen to some of these stupid people who think you have to brush it daily. That's because they probably have bloody thin, dead straight hair.

Well, I have curly hair, it's soft and loose and has little twirls and I have found it has become better because I haven't probably brushed my hair for two years. Of course I brush it and comb it in the shower but never dry because it'll buff up. So you should do that. Brush your hair in the shower and comb it but never when it's dry, it'll look better.

Most people hate their hair so it's normal. Some days I can't stand mine and I actually like yours, I know it would be hard to maintain but it's pretty hot.

Good luck.

I HAVENT brushed or combed my hair in about 4 months....?

nooo sweetie! you NEED to brush your hair! not brushing it isnt strengthening your hair or making it healthier... i have thick and curly hair too and if i dont brush it.. it falls out in big chunks at a time.. all you need to do is use protection cream//gel//mousse. and leaving the conditioner in might dry your scalp out a little bit... you might not notice it.. but it does.

I HAVENT brushed or combed my hair in about 4 months....?

my friend who has tight curly curly hair like leona lewis (before she uses rolers like on the cover of a moment like this) she never brushes her hair when its dry unless its straightened. But when her hair is wet she uses a wide toothed comb and then a finetoothed comb then she either just leaves it or blow dries it. her hair is really healthy soft and beautiful!! maybe u should use her method cos i dont think that is making ur any healthier

I HAVENT brushed or combed my hair in about 4 months....?

If it is working for you and if it is presentable then do not change a thing. Unless you want to change the style.

But it is all up to you.

At first I was shocked by the Q?, it is the only thing I saw, but you are taking care of it regularly by washing.

Your way of managing your hair hair, is fine.

Tools are used to manage tit any way, depends on the style.
