I want to grow my hair long... what should i do to maintain it well....?

I want to grow my hair long... what should i do to maintain it well....?

Hello! Coming from a hairstylist here....first of all, it sounds like your natural texture is pretty curly, which can be mistaken for damage and frizz. You may want to visit a salon and ask if they have any gentle chemical relaxer services for you. They have definately come a long way! My other advice is to be sure to take your vitamins (Biotin is known to help hair growth), don't forget to get regular trims every 8-12 weeks(I know it sounds backwards, but it really helps), and don't over-damage your hair with chemicals and heat tools. As far as not combing it, though, I would say go ahead and do it because your natural oils from your scalp help nourish the rest of your hair. Good luck and be patient! Try different headbands and accessories while you're growing it out.

I want to grow my hair long... what should i do to maintain it well....?

is your hair naturally curly or no? if not...let it grow. brush/comb it, shampoo and condition it. don't use many products [hairspray, gels] on it. don't know whether or not you're male or female, so don't use hair dryers, curling irons, straighteners, etc... they all damage the hair. and once it's longer, trim it every few months to rid of split ends.

I want to grow my hair long... what should i do to maintain it well....?

My sister has long beautiful telephone curls. One thing she mentioned is that she does not use alot of conditioner because it makes the curls limp. After shower she puts a towel on the table then places her forehead on the towel she then curl the towel together with her hair and twist it like a candy wrapper. let it dry for about 30 minutes and you have gorgeous curly vibrant hair.

I want to grow my hair long... what should i do to maintain it well....?

Sweetheart the key to long hair is moisture you have to keep it moisturize all the time and make sure your ends are moisturize too dont put too much heat on it to break off your hair and try not to cut it to much that where the moisturize comes in cause if you keep your ends moisturize you wont need to trim it and it will grow and grow heres a site with a sista who got some seriously long hair check her out oh yeah and wash 3-4times a week too

How to straighten afro curly hair??

NO U DONT HAVE TO RELAX UR HAIR!!! just put conditioner on ur hair after washin or make ur hair damp then straighten it. the conditioner will protect ur hair and stop it from snaggin and breaking or wet ur hair n put oil on it.. obviously not too much. u can put both and it gives ur hair a glossy/silky look.. Good Luck b

How to straighten afro curly hair??

WHEN YOU GET MONEY, BUY SOME CURL WAX. STRAIGHTEN IT WITH THE STRAIGHTENER.

How to straighten afro curly hair??

you could get it chemically straightened so that it's the opposite of getting a perm and leaves your hair super straight for weeks :)

How to straighten afro curly hair??

get it relaxed and then straighten it every time u wash it..

i think that if u perm it (curly) it will look cuter

How to straighten afro curly hair??

Go to a professional and get it relaxed.

Then you can use your straighteners.

How to straighten afro curly hair??

ghd straightners? v. expensive but work - but be careful because they can really damage your hair.

Try the tresemee colection! Its great! As far as the comb goes you have to use a pick most african american people use its really useful really! You could also go to a health food store and buy shampoo and conditioner for dry damaged hair!

What is a good hair comb to untangle thick, dry, tangly hair? what is a good, thick, moisturizing conditioner?

I personally use ION for hard water. get it at Sally's beautify supply house. It works great and helps with the frizzes!!!!

As for a comb, try using what I call a pick comb. It looks like a pick but shaped like a comb.

What is a good hair comb to untangle thick, dry, tangly hair? what is a good, thick, moisturizing conditioner?

A wide tooth comb will do the trick on thick, dry, tangly hair.

My hair is coarse, thick, tightly-curled, and is to my bra strap. That's a lot of hair, Lol.

The conditioners I absolutely love are Silk Elements conditioners: Silk Elements Luxury Moisturizing Conditioner is probably my favorite. You can get Silk Elements products at Sally's Beauty Supply.

How do i get my hair to look beachy without...?

damaging it and adding too many products in it...((the safe way))

HERE IS THE NEXT QUESTION...

i straighten my hair frequntly and i just dyed it like 5-6 weeks ago...and when i wash it and comb my hair a lot of it falls out...is that ok...?

thanx

How do i get my hair to look beachy without...?

I have straight hair and I straighten it also. My hair falls out all the time, I'm like a shedding dog! Anyways for the beachy part, See my pic? its not natural. All i do is when I wash my hair I towel dry it and just scrunch scrunch scrunch it until its dry. I also use a little mouse to hold it and once in awhile hair spray, but just a little. Good luck and I hope it works for ya!

How do i get my hair to look beachy without...?

well i put salt water in a spray bottle then use swax [spray on wax] to secure it..pretty natural and basically right from the beach..

and i color my hair and straighten it and handfuls fall out but it's pretty normal

How do i get my hair to look beachy without...?

put lemon juice in it and get in the sun for highlights.

try olive oil treatment to restore hair vitality.

How do i get my hair to look beachy without...?

Do half water and half sea salt in a spray bottle, scrunch dry with a blow dryer. It is normal to lose 80-100 strands of hair a day. But, if you are flat ironing, it is important to use a product on your hair before ironing it. Like a serum, or heat protectant. or it's like putting a hot iron on silk, it will burn, and your hair will break off.

How do i get my hair to look beachy without...?

You hair falls out when you comb it because your hair is damaged. Straightening and drying use lots of chemicals that are harmful to your hair. I think you should just stick to one thing. For example, you could do only straightening. You also mentioned that you want to get a beachy look. You could cut your hair into layers. That's my idea of a perfect "beachy" look.

How do i get my hair to look beachy without...?

-To make your hair look beachy, you can cut a lemon in half and rub it on your hair. You could also put lemon juice in a spray bottle and spay it on you hair. Then, be out in the sun for 2-3 hours. After you come in, wash your hair. .you should see the results the next day.

-You can also wash your hair with chamomile tea, it will add subtle highlights. .and it also works on brown hair.

*Be sure not to put lemon juice on brown hair. It will turn orange.

-Your hair might fall out if your use harsh chemicals to dye, bleach, straighten, or perm your hair. Even drying hair with very high heat can hurt it and cause it to fall out. Too-tight braids, ponytails, and barrettes can also make hair fall out. Hair also can be lost if you comb or brush your hair too hard, especially when it's wet. So yes, its fine. .it happens to most people, especially when hair is wet.

Hope I helped :]

How do i get my hair to look beachy without...?

Spending time in the sun is a good way to make your hair look beachy without damaging chemical bleaches (remember to wear sunscreen to reduce your risk of skin cancer!).

If large amount of your hair is falling out, that is not normal or healthy. It is a sign that your hair needs to recover from the severe damage you've been causing. Stop ironing, blow-drying, or otherwise heating your hair. Stop using products with chemical ingredients. Don't dye it again until it has recovered. Avoid shampoos containing sodium lauryl sulfate and ammonium laureth sulfate. Try using gentler shampoos, like an organic shampoo or a baby shampoo.

Question On Hair Damage?

Would constantly combing my hair damage it in any way?

Question On Hair Damage?

Yes deffinetly.

It could make a lot of split ends by combing too much.

Only comb or brush when you need to.

African American hair is most fragile while it's wet.?

After i apply my leave in conditioner, when is the best time to comb my hair, to minimize breakage and shedding.

African American hair is most fragile while it's wet.?

I think you can use a wide toothed comb and gently comb is through, and then let it dry/dry it and then brush or comb however you want.

Yeah...everyone's hair is most fragile when wet, that's why sleeping with wet hair is bad. (I learned that the hard way). I'm glad you are being sensitive to it! (-=

African American hair is most fragile while it's wet.?

After you wash, rinse, and squeeze out most of water; then wrap hair in a towel for a few minutes to blot up more moisture [ don't rub hair with towel ], apply leave-in conditioner, and COMB [ no brushing while wet either ] out tangles.

Be sure to use a good deep conditioner two to four times a month as well.

African American hair is most fragile while it's wet.?

Do not listen to above. Only comb it in when it is wet, especially if it is relaxed. African American hair is intensely dry (most dry of other races) so it is best to comb it when it is wet and full of conditioner.

African American hair is most fragile while it's wet.?

as soon as you put in the leave in conditioner. it will help detangle the hair but once the hair is dried and hasn't been combed it can get matted and knotted. just comb it gently and you should be ok

How do you keep your hair from sticking out.?

After I take a shower I comb my hair the way I want it and after like a half an hour it the hair on the back of my head sticks out. How do you prevent this without using gel.

How do you keep your hair from sticking out.?

not rub your head up against things [aka walls, chairs and such]

also try a little hairspray with water and comb that through

How do you keep your hair from sticking out.?

if your hair is curly then there is nothing too do about it!

How do you keep your hair from sticking out.?

use a hairspray that holds your hair in one place

like garnier or something else

How do you keep your hair from sticking out.?

The Smooth Infusion collection from Aveda is the greatest thing ever! I use it, and my hair is like a dream! When you read the description of each item, look at the benefits and everything.

http://www.aveda.com/templates/products/...

How do you keep your hair from sticking out.?

use "flexible" hairspray. after ur hair dryies comb out your hair again so its not stiff. only spray the areas it sticks out.

How do you keep your hair from sticking out.?

Well it depends. I mean you can try to use a anti-frizz cream. A good anti-frizz cream would be the one from Dove. Or you can buy a straightening iron...I have on that contains some type of Japanese minerals in it...they cost around $90 at Sally. http://www.sallybeauty.com/ionic-ceramic... Try see if it works. It worked for my hair.

How do i get my hair to be less frizzy and less puffy?

i get out of the shower and comb my hair and stuff but its gets really puffy and frizzy by the time it dries and it wont even straighten all the way and its still frizzy. i have like wavy hair and its pretty thick. i just need some body to give me some tips [it would be better if you have the situation] also i dont mind spending money or anything.. and what products do you think i should use? okay thank you so much!

How do i get my hair to be less frizzy and less puffy?

ahh a girl just like me! i have to get my hair thinned twice a month because its so thick..and i have all the wavy/frizzy problems as well!! do you like your hair wavy? i know personally i feel sloppy with my hair wavy because its so heavy and big and i feel like a mess. i wash and blowdry at night and in the morning i straighten my hair. i use a farouk chi to straighten my hair and i have THE miracle serum! before you straighten your hair use Kerastase olee-relax serum. its a bit pricey but you said moneys not an object and i SWEAR to you, it will be the best beauty investment ever!! you'll thank me...good luck to you!! oooh also.. Ken Paves- Jessica simpson's hair stylist....he makes a great conditioning cream you can use in the shower its like 6 bucks and you can find it online or at ulta!

How do i get my hair to be less frizzy and less puffy?

I know exactly how you feel! My hair is the same way....i just bought this straigtener from Wal Mart called "Remington Wet to Straight" and it works perfect for my hair! I also bought some VO1 heat protection spray....it keeps your hair from being damaged by the extreme heat of straigteners....and my FAVORITE product...(LOL)...is the "Garnier Fructis-Anti Frizz hair serum..." I both of those products from walmart too...your hair will be soft and smell good too after you use these things...good luck! =]

How do i get my hair to be less frizzy and less puffy?

there are some good hair products that help your hair become less frizzy

How do i get my hair to be less frizzy and less puffy?

I use the purple bottle of Sunsilk from walmart for smooth straight hair. makes it easy to comb because its so thick and frizzy. I like it, I also use v05 sometimes, thats great for split ends.

How do i get my hair to be less frizzy and less puffy?

Here's some advice for you: ANTI-FRIZZ SERUM. I have hair just like yours and this stuff performs nothing short of miracles for me. I let my hair dry a little bit, then I comb through a little bit. My curls are silky and my frizz is 99% gone. The best part is--it works well on humid days!

Do you have curly or straight hair? The serum works well on both types of hair.

I often use the serum in conjunction with gel and leave in conditioner. I haven't yet found a hair gel that works well for me, but I have a great serum: Garnier Fructis for Curly Hair. It's cheap, comes in a round bottle, and lasts about 2-3 months. I've found that Citre Shine and Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum work well too. Give it a try!

How do i get my hair to be less frizzy and less puffy?

Actually i have this same problem and too have this type of hair..The best think i do is put conditioner after shampooing and let it soak for 1-2 minutes and then before washing it ,comb ur hair with conditioner applied on it , make sure that u remove all strangles and then wash ur hair, but do not wash it more jus wash till the soapy things gets off..then dry ur hair and make sure that u always comb and let dry ..After drying use hair spray to set ur hair ..then thats it u will find ur hair managable and a bit silky too.!!!!!!!!!!!

How do i get my hair to be less frizzy and less puffy?

this sounds gross . . . and you'll prob think im lying but i knew this girl in high school who had super frizzy hair and i had read that ifyou put mayo in their hair and leave it in for like 20 minutes or so that it'll take the frizz away. it worked. . . and u could see the spots we missed too because they stayed frizzy.

How do i get my hair to be less frizzy and less puffy?

I used to have a similar problem. There is a really simple solution though. First of all I would recommend a good and strong hair striaghtener--Conair Instant Heat Straightener 19.49 at Target. Then use an anti frizz spray to get rid of the frizz and puffiness--try Tresemme No Frizz Shine Spray 4.00 at drugstores.

Hope that helps!

How do i get my hair to be less frizzy and less puffy?

use SILK. Is the best product on earth and the only one that works

How do i get my hair to be less frizzy and less puffy?

My Hair is the SAME way. Ive tried everything from straightners to to salon doing and nothing seemed to work. I Finally found the best thing to do for it..... Use your clothes iron!!!! DO NOT put it on HIGH but put it on like medium but adjust it to the best heat to straighten your hair.... THIS has worked for me. Lemme tell you how to do it, Wash your hair, BLOW DRY it, Part it in sections with hairbows like put the top up and leave the bottom down and iron that first, than put it in a hair bow to keep it from getting mixed in with the hair thats not done yet. Than just let sections down at a time. Get a Book or cd case whatever, (Something like that) And Put a towel over the book and use that to put your hair on to iron it OR lay on the floor and have a friend iron it out..... Have any questions just email me at : aewlvstdl1214@yahoo.com

How do i get my hair to be less frizzy and less puffy?

i used to have the same problem too, cuz my hair was so thick %26amp; frizzy/curly! but then i had it thinned out %26amp; cut into layers. That truly helped alot cuz it takes a lot of weight off ur hair %26amp; its much easier to manage. i use diff. shampoos %26amp; cond. but now im using Aussie %26amp; works good %26amp; a leave in too after i shower. But the thing is when u straighten it u need to use a better flat iron, the best ones r the ones ur stylist can from their sallys or ulta they get verrrrry hot. but when u straghten it use a leave in so u dont damage ur hair! good luck!

How can I stop my hair from falling?

Every time I take a shower or comb my hair, about 20 strings of hair fall off my head. Maybe I'll be bald someday. so i just want to know some way to prevent them from falling.

How can I stop my hair from falling?

If you're a man - good luck, because I've got nothing.

If you're a woman and on the older end of the age spectrum, then it's time to look for hormones or Rogaine for women.

If you're a woman and on the younger side, don't worry about it. Seriously, don't. It's turning into Spring soon. Our hair gets thicker in the winter, and thinner in the spring. Plus, you've got about a zillion hairs on your head. I promise, you've got nothign to worry about. I lose hair like a maniac ... I went to the doctor about it a few years ago, and she told me that women are kind of like puppies in that respect. They shed their hair when the seasons turn... but the won't go bald unless something happens (like you get sick or your hormones get out of whack).

If you do notice a bald spot or SEVERE thinness of your hair, get to a doctor, they can give you suppliments and whatnot for it.

How can I stop my hair from falling?

You can't or you will look funny.

The head is designed to shed about 200 hairs a day, so if you are only losing a few, you're the lucky one.

How can I stop my hair from falling?

The normal cycle of hair growth lasts for 2 to 6 years. Each hair grows approximately 1 centimeter (less than half an inch) per month during this phase. About 90 percent of the hair on your scalp is growing at any one time. About 10 percent of the hair on your scalp, at any one time, is in a resting phase. After 2 to 3 months, the resting hair falls out and new hair starts to grow in its place.

It is normal to shed some hair each day as part of this cycle.

You should look into a good shampoo and conditioner that reduces split ends and strengthens your hair. Use a hot oil treatment weekly. Take a multivitamin.

Use only a wide toothed comb or brush.

How can I stop my hair from falling?

well my hair usually fell alot and i got good shampoo it was a silky kind buy some of that and then comb you hair and dry it..that will work a couple of times it will become better

How can I stop my hair from falling?

Hair Loss Treatments for Women: Once upon a time, hair loss was a problem associated only with men. But now a growing number of women complain about hair loss. Usually, 7-10% of a woman閳ユ獨 hair is in the resting phase, which can last for around 2-3 months. Once the period is over, the hair falls out and the new hair

How can I stop my hair from falling?

you may just need a deep conditioner and if you have a relaxer and need a touch up, the change in textures also makes the hair shed. Some shedding is normal though

Is my hair falling out (Read Details)?

i got a relaxer about 3 weeks ago and when i comb my hair long and short strands come out . i know the short ones are normal but the long ones scare me. their like sometimes 4 or 5 inches long. and i had gotten another relaxer about 6 weeks earlier before i got the last one

Is my hair falling out (Read Details)?

Sounds like your hair is overprocessed. You should usually wait like 8 weeks or more or else your hair will break off even more. Just get a mild reconstructor to slow down the breakage.

Is my hair falling out (Read Details)?

chinetta you got your relaxer too soon, hair re-growth will return to previous conditions between one to six months. Another normal scalp hair loss is Telogen effluvium, a common type of hair loss caused when a large percentage of scalp hairs are shifted into "shedding" phase and later the re-growth stage occurs. Read the section on Hair Loss Care for protecting your present hair. Cosmetic alternatives, such as hair replacements or wigs, can help conceal female hair loss with great success! take care ingsaludosssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss...

Someone please help me,I wash my hair today?

I wash my hair today with pantenet Pro V and I been using it for six years and all of the sudden I comb my hair and a lot of hair was in my comb some one tell me what should I do? PLEASE HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Someone please help me,I wash my hair today?

Calm down, that is totally normal. Hair falls out all the time I would say I lose about a pound of hair every month. It's no biggie, completely normal.

Someone please help me,I wash my hair today?

How's that a good answer because you found someone to lie to you? Shedding hair is normal but if you lose as much as she says that's not normal and if you are losing as much as your question indicates then that's not normal either. Report It

Someone please help me,I wash my hair today?

it shouldnt have anything to do with your shampoo..that is the kind I use too..It shouldnt be anything to worry about..everyone loses alot of hairin one day it is normal..if it keeps happening then you should go to the doctor to find out what it causing it..or you could change shampoo's if it happens again tommorow and see if that helps.

Someone please help me,I wash my hair today?

I don't think it was the Pantene Pro-V. I use that too. You said you've been using it for six years, so its unlikely that it would make your hair fall out now. Don't worry, sometimes hair just falls out naturally. Arround 80 pieces of hair fall out every day in combs and stuff. So im sure your fine. If it happens again, i would consider talking to an expert.

Someone please help me,I wash my hair today?

consult a doctor if you are really concern and you think it is serious. but if it just happened. maybe it is caused by other stuff like the weather change or pollution..

Someone please help me,I wash my hair today?

its normal to lose between 50 to 100 hairs daily...so if you don't wash everyday when u wash u might lose even more hair than that and its normal

Someone please help me,I wash my hair today?

pantene contains silicone which over time dries out hair and causes it to break, try switching to a shampoo that doesn't contian silicone(dimethicone) or that doesn't have as much silicone. hav u been getting regular trims to cut off the dead ends?

Someone please help me,I wash my hair today?

This is shedding. i'd advise you to get some garlic shampoos and conditioners (don't worry, they don't smell like garlic) from the vermont country store. Do a websearch for the vermont country store and you'll find their website. Those garlic shampoos and conditioners are supposedly excellent for shedding.

Someone please help me,I wash my hair today?

1). Stop stressing. Stress is one of the causes for hairloss. If you have been using Pantene Pro V for that long it seems unlikely that it would be the cause of your hair loss. It's possible but not very likely. Think have you tried any new products or styled your hair differently? Those could be the culprits. Also keep yourself from becoming stressed out, again it's a factor in hair loss. If you still feel it has something to do with the Pantene shampoo then discontinue it's use. I reccommend that you try Optimum. They have a relatively new Anti-Breakage formula. It works! I use it. Also always be sure to condition and moisturize your hair after you wash it. This is very important. Shampooing takes out the natural oils in the hair. Conditioning and moisturizing replenishes them. I reccommend that you get the shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioner and the hairdress. By Optimum that way you will be able to treat your hair in every process using the anti-breaking formula.

Someone please help me,I wash my hair today?

ur scalp needs zinc. take spinach with ur daily meal. spinach has zinc in it. zinc gives strength to your scalp. healthy scalp reduce hair fall.

Does hair combing have health benefits?

rids hair of excess dirt//oil (so does washing) also improves circulation to the scalp. this is esp a concern if you're experiencing hair loss or are concerned about it :)

Does hair combing have health benefits?

Be very careful of what type of comb that you use. Try to steer away from the combs with rigidness on the teeth of the comb. When you get a chance look at the teeth of the comb very closely and see if there' s any plastic sticking out of them. If so, don't use it anymore because it can break your hair. Hope this helps.

How can a black man get his hair to look natural?

I have this head full of thick, nappy, hard to comb thourgh hair, that I can only do after it was been washed. Is there anyway I can get my hair to look natural, fluffy, and soft? Will Smith's son has the perfect hair for a boy of color. I need help yall!!!

How can a black man get his hair to look natural?

Oh God!!!! I'm glad I seen this question!!! Are you serious, don't follow these people's advice (they're white). No offense white people but every African-American person knows that a "TEXURIZER" always gets an African-American male hair nice and wavy. Go to ANY beauty supply store and ask for it. Write it down so you don't forget it: "TEXURIZER". E-Mail me when it works!!!

P.S. DO NOT get a perm. That will F**K your head all the way up.

How can a black man get his hair to look natural?

welll i dunno

How can a black man get his hair to look natural?

braid it or shave it off.

How can a black man get his hair to look natural?

get a perm/relaxer! just because your a boy doesn't mean you cant do that! trust me! or maybe you just need to keep your hair braided

How can a black man get his hair to look natural?

I think for best results you should spend the money to go to a professional...ask them the same thing you asked us, and if you like their result, then ask them what shampoo/method they used.

How can a black man get his hair to look natural?

I saw him on Oprah....and he's adorable...but do you realize that his father is a multi-millionnaire and paid tons to have his hair done.......and the child looks like John Legend...to me.

.....However if you saw his sister on Oprah...that was the natural hair piled on top of her head.

So if you want your hair straightened...treat yourself for the holidays! Why not? You're worth it...and you may find that it works for you..

Now think....Will Smith has a shaved head, and Jada..his wife has straightened hair....so none of it's natural...

Do what's best for you!

.

How can a black man get his hair to look natural?

So, what you're really asking is how to you get your "naturally tight-curly hair" to be more relaxed like Will Smith's son's hair.

There are hair salon products available to do exactly that, and in the stores the boxes have pictures of African people on them. But, I would strongly urge you to go to your nearest salon specializing in your type of hair and have the first treatments done by people who have experience.

It has been my observation that many people who are new to the 'changing hair' game have problems and disappointments with the treatments. This doesn't mean you will have disappointments or problems, but hair is one of those things that few people find satisfaction in what grows naturally on their heads.

How can a black man get his hair to look natural?

try a relaxing perm, it will look natural, but not from wella

How can a black man get his hair to look natural?

yeah..the last post is right. The best thing for you to get is a texturizer. That will help you to release your natural curls.

Uggh! do you guys have any thick hair tips??? PLEASE help!!?

I have straight long brown hair. it's kind of thick but not really. i really hate it sometimes! the thing that bothers me is the fact that my hair gets knots and gets really frizzy in a matter of minutes. for example, i comb my hair to satisfaction, and in a matter of minutes it gets knots and ugggh!

do you guys have any tips??? like how to keep it flat, not make it frizz, but still make it look healthy??? thanks SOOOO much!!!! :) :) 閳?br>Uggh! do you guys have any thick hair tips??? PLEASE help!!?

My hair is wavy and gets frizzy really easily as well as being kind of thick.

Always use conditioner when you wash your hair - it reduces frizz and makes it easier to comb out tangles. I also find that using a leave in conditioner works quite well for making it stay nice and flat and unfrizzy and tangle-free as well (you only need a little bit - you just get a 5c coin sized amount on your hand and then rub your hands together before putting it through your hair).

Another thing to try if you are having major issues with your hair not sitting straight try some mousse. It really helps me when I am wanting to leave my hair out but it is not staying so it sits nicely. The mousse helps it stay in place without looking icky (as long as you don't use too much).

I hope that helps and good luck! : )

Uggh! do you guys have any thick hair tips??? PLEASE help!!?

long layers ...

Uggh! do you guys have any thick hair tips??? PLEASE help!!?

Use conditioner or use a brush instead of a comb. That is all I can think of

Uggh! do you guys have any thick hair tips??? PLEASE help!!?

i don't have hair!!!!!!!

Uggh! do you guys have any thick hair tips??? PLEASE help!!?

Dip it in rubbing alcohol and then light it on fire.

Works like a charm.

Uggh! do you guys have any thick hair tips??? PLEASE help!!?

Try this:

When you comb your hair, do it in the shower with a wide toothed comb and conditioner (make it a thick formula like those meant for color-treated hair, even if you haven't dyed your hair trust me on this one). This will keep static from affecting it, and will make sure you leave your conditioner on for a few more minutes to weigh it down and make it all around healthier.

Stay away from flat-irons, blow dryers, and any non-nourishing product. This will damage your hair and make it frizz even more!

Uggh! do you guys have any thick hair tips??? PLEASE help!!?

okkk well i have hair just like u

what i do is i wash my hair with both shampoo

and conditioner

immeditly after that

* do it various times

and cont untill u get to the top

Uggh! do you guys have any thick hair tips??? PLEASE help!!?

um well I had basically the same hair type as you (but I cut my hair to medium length and got layers) the lady I went to said my hair got nappy because it was all one length so layers would help and for frizziness try tresseme anti frizz secret and to keep your hair flat get a good straightner (even though ypur hair is already straight) hope that helps :D

Uggh! do you guys have any thick hair tips??? PLEASE help!!?

get infusim 23...i only use the leave in conditioner..but u can use the shampoo and conditioner if u want.it has 23 vitamin and it makes your smooth.light weight.and its liquidy.it helps dry and damaged hair as well, this also makes it look very healthy. You can buy it at walmart,sav-on,anything like that.only like 7 bucks, but it's the best:)

Uggh! do you guys have any thick hair tips??? PLEASE help!!?

Hot oil treatments weekly

Biosilk or

leave in conditioner daily.

Aussie three minute miracle every 3 days.

and mousse.

I hear ya I have thick frizzy hair as well

and I'm just starting to get it under control

I bought a Maxius straightener and it helps

as well it came with some nice products

to help to.

Uggh! do you guys have any thick hair tips??? PLEASE help!!?

i have the same hair, i hate it but i layer it also i straight iron it, the straightness wares off but i usually wear a headband with a little hair in the front of the headband, STYLISH!

you can also try different styles like blow drying ur hair straight or straight ironing the lossely curl it and tie or pull back some chunks of hair... it reduces the poofiness,

you can also ask a hairdresser about thining your hair, they have combs that have small blades in between the prongs and they just comb through your hair..... ask the hairdresser im sure she'll know

Uggh! do you guys have any thick hair tips??? PLEASE help!!?

You should get layers, which will help. Also, you may want to use a flat iron/straightener, though since you already have straight hair, this may not be the best choice.

Think about whether you really want long hair or not. I know that every once in a while I like cutting my hair short.

Finally, perhaps curling your hair will hid knots and suchlike. Hopefully this will help.

Uggh! do you guys have any thick hair tips??? PLEASE help!!?

This is what my hair texture is like (after chemical straightening treatment, what a ripoff). I use Aquage Beyond Shine spray and flat iron my hair in sections, and it stays straight, smooth, and shiny all day, even in humidity. The spray is supposed to protect your hair from damage from the flat iron, too. I also use Frizz Ease Hair Serum right when I get out of the shower.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

I Juust read on a website on how to keep your hair healthy that you should never comb your hair when its wet but it didnt say why you cant so can some one please tell me

thanks in advance

閳?.Azra..x//

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

because hair breaks easier when it is wet.

Good Luck!

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

You can comb it wet if you comb it with conditioner on. if you comb it when wet without conditioner its supposed to split the ends

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

It has something to do with your hair's elasticity(sp) when your hair is wet it's less elastic then when it's dry and its easier to cause breakage.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

you should comb your hair when it's wet. you shouldn't BRUSH your hair when it's wet. have you ever been to a hair salon?

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

i've never heard of that and I comb my hair when its wet and so do all my friends and our hair rocks. (i'm serious our hair is really good, mine is really soft but bushy (but bushy hair runs in the family so thats no the result) and my bff's hair is very fair and soft and easy to manage), so IDK.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

I thought it was bad to 'brush' wet hair, thought combing was ok

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

I have never heard that. you should comb all tangles out with a comb never usining a brush on wet hair.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

they say it's not good to comb ur hair when wet cuz it could break your hair and ruin the ends leading to damaged ends. the only time that happens is when you have knaps that you can't easily comb through. what you should do, and this is what i do, is after shampooing, use a conditioner. when conditioning ur hair, you should finger comb thru ur hair to make sure that it's all evenly spread. leave in for a good 2-3 minute.... rinse and towel dry. run fingers thru once more, and then use a comb or brush.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

I do but it is meant to be easier to pull out and break - I have to brsh mine though otherwise it is really knotty lol

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

Dont do it ! it will all fall out.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

Because it breaks your hair %26amp; forms frizz.

Wet hair is more delicate and easy to break when it's wet.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

Never brush your hair when it is wet. Instead, you should comb your wet hair. Brushes are known to pull wet hair, meaning that it will be more likely to fall out when you use a brush than if you were to use a comb. If there is not a comb around, wait until your hair has dried before you even attempt to brush it.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

I brush my hair when its wet cuz if I wait 2 long it gets really frizzy and puffy!!!! And I can't stand it!!! I have naturally curly hair and I can't really brush my hair when itz dry!!!

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

well when u take shower and den comb yur hair yur hair wil feel like gras most of time.. i hate dat feeling so i never comb my hair but i wud prefer is use REDKEN SMOOTH DOWN. it helps keep yur hair frm being grassy when u comb it before u hairdry it. so first u take a shower and den put da redken smooth down and den blow dry rite away even before u put da smooth down u can comb yur hair!! ANSWER: once u comb yur hair it gets more frizzy and it will feel like grass if u constantly do it, but if u have silky hair it will be okay to comb a little but if u have unruly hair DON'T COMB!!!

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

Your hair stretches when it's wet and if you run a fine tooth comb through it while it's wet the ends could stretch and break off easily. You can, however, use a wide-tooth comb or brush while it's wet.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

because your hair is more prone to breaking when it's wet and it will give you split ends!

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

You should use a wide tooth comb to comb your hair when its wet. But do not brush because as others have stated it will break easier.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

Hair shouldn't be combed when it's wet.

False. When hair is wet, water penetrates its shaft, so it swells and starts tangling with other hair. If wet hair is not combed, it will dry out tangled, and will be unmanageable and difficult to style. To set the hair and give it a smooth look, you must comb it when it is wet. But do it gently and be sure to use a wide-toothed comb.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

Because combing wet hair can break it and cause split ends. Use a wide tooth comb when you put your leave in conditioner on. Preferrably, finger comb wet hair. If only I could do that. My hair's so thick, wide tooth combs get stuck... I got mom's hair. Lol.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

It gives you split ends.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

i always comb my hair when it's wet . i have been doing it all my life . i have not had any problems . i think it is a silly saying. IF IT WAS SO BAD WHY DO HAIRDRESSERS BRUSH/COMB YOUR HAIR ? WHEN IT IS WET ?THEY ARE PROFESSIONALTHEY KINDA KNOW WHAT TO DO ! don't you think?

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

supposidly, when you brush wet hair, it stretches and tears which damages hair. I think you should ask a beautician.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

u shoulddd comb ur hair when wet..

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

You shouldn't brush your hair when it's wet. It's ok to use a wide tooth comb though as it de-tangles it and I do that.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

you shoul comb your hair when it is wet the worst thing you can do is brush it as a brush will break your hair use a wide toothed comb tho and to help stop your hair breaking use a good leave in conditioner this will make it easier to handle while it is wet.

Why Shouldn't You Comb Wet Hair?

you can comb it when it's wet but you must use a wide tooth comb and be gentle and when you do it first detangle your hair with your fingers then use the wide tooth comb and be gentle . i do this and i have thick curly Afro hair and mine doesn't break you just have to be careful but hair is more prone to breakage when it's dry because dry hair has less flexibility anything dry does.

Why my hair falls so much whenever i comb my hair it is so much that i have to put towel before me w

there's only 2 things that i can think of and it's either stress or you have thyroid problems.........well thats what i think at least

Why my hair falls so much whenever i comb my hair it is so much that i have to put towel before me when i comb

Go to a dermatologist.

Why my hair falls so much whenever i comb my hair it is so much that i have to put towel before me when i comb

you may need a hot oil treatment or deep conditioning

Why my hair falls so much whenever i comb my hair it is so much that i have to put towel before me when i comb

it sounds like your hair is to dry and you need to condition your hair and also give yourself a hot oil treatment and also look into going to hair dresser that might help too

Why my hair falls so much whenever i comb my hair it is so much that i have to put towel before me when i comb

I have super thick hair and at the end of every winter my hair falls out by the handful. It scared and I went to the dr and he said its normal for us to shed hair. Unless its falling out by massive amounts and your going bald then dont worry.

Why my hair falls so much whenever i comb my hair it is so much that i have to put towel before me when i comb

sorry to hear that..Visit the doctor.....he might let you know whats really going on.....You can use hot oil treatment, but tht depends on your hair type....don't comb your hair so much..just brush it gently with a detangling brush or something like tht for the moment...it might help really well

Why my hair falls so much whenever i comb my hair it is so much that i have to put towel before me when i comb

Use detangler if you're combing it when it's still wet.

Depending on your hair type- use detangler no matter what.

Uh if you dye your hair at all- There's an ingredient in hair dye with something like Aluminum (Just check out the ingredients)...

This makes your hair weaker and pretty much just fall right out.

To avoid: search for dye products that don't contain aluminum (Most will...Herbal Essencese and Loreal is the worst for straight hair).

To gain some more hair back- there's a product called Nioxon, its a clenser and a conditioner- man...that stuff litereally does just grow hair right back. Ask your stylist (or A stylist)

Why my hair falls so much whenever i comb my hair it is so much that i have to put towel before me when i comb

i am the same way... it could be stress....but if you are not stressed go to the dermatologist

How to get rid of hair lice?

I'm not sure if I have had/ still have lice. I used a product yesterday since my children had lice and eggs and I thought I might have them too, then I combed my hair for hours but I believe it didn't work. I think I found two eggs on my hair today. So I thought I'd better use bleach. Would it work? I know it might make my skylp bleed, but would it work?

How to get rid of hair lice?

you have to get the special lice shampoo and probably get rid of all your stuff like blankets and what not

How to get rid of hair lice?

shave your whole head bald and then wash it .

How to get rid of hair lice?

go buy the medicine with the kit how to wash your hair

How to get rid of hair lice?

Use the lice product per instructions and do it again in 7-10 days. You also need to do a very thorough house cleaning now and again when you do the second treatment. If your family keeps getting lice, then you need to do some research as to where the kids are getting the lice from. Do they have a friend with this problem or are they getting them from school (hanging coats together where they touch is a common problem). Ask the school nurse for help. Bleach won't work, neither does flea dip or kerosene.

How to get rid of hair lice?

Don't use bleach! that's horrible! ok there are kits you can buy from your local pharmicist, as well as fine tooth combs. Follow the instructions and you should be just fine.

How to get rid of hair lice?

Essential oils are an excellent way of dealing with the problem of hair lice. Eucalyptus oil is one of the most powerful natural antiseptic oils. Tea tree oil is also a brilliant antiseptic and antibacterial.

閳?Try the following head lice treatment ~

1/2 capfull of tea tree oil or eucalyptus oil;

1/2 capfull of lavender oil

5 tablespoons grape seed oil.

(if you've only got the tea tree oil or eucalyptus oil for this mix then simply use that mixed in with warm water in a spray bottle)

The grape seed oil is used as a carrier and the lavender oil is for its scent, and its antibacterial and antiobiotic actions閳?All the oils together will be far more effective, no chemicals for sensitive little bodies either and far cheaper in the long run閳?br>

Mix all the oils together in a small bottle and shake to blend.

Massage thoroughly into the hair and scalp; cover with a shower cap and leave on either all day or all night. The following morning, shampoo the hair and comb through with a fine tooth comb paying particular attention behind the ears and the back of the neck ~ the hot spots, this will help to get rid of the nits. Add 2 drops of rosemary essential oil to the final rinse water to cleanse the hair of any chemical residue from the shampoo and conditioner and to nourish the hair. When hair is dry, comb it with a clean fine toothed comb.

Repeat the process every 2 days for a week, but don't continue on a regular basis after that. Instead to prevent reinfection simply put half a capfull of eucalyptus oil or tea tree oil into a spray bottle containing warm water, shake and spray over hair daily and comb through閳?br>

Also, wash all bedding and personal clothes in very hot water. Add 2 teaspoons eucalyptus or tea tree oil to the rinsing water. Hang in the sun for a whole day, turning inside out at intervals so that every part of the material (particularly seams and hems) receives the antibacterial actions of the sun and also the fresh air. Nits hatch out at 48 hour intervals so the treatment of clothes and bedding will need to be carried out every two days until the problem no longer exists閳?br>

Bleach is full of all sorts of nasty chemical irritants and you could possibly end up with a nasty skin outbreak or skin rash amongst other things ~ i wouldn't use the bleach if i were you閳?br>

Good luck hun閳?br>

Good health to you %26amp; yours閳?br>

****edit*** Caution ~ avoid using eucalyptus oil if you have high blood pressure or epilepsy and simply substitute with tea tree oil閳?br>

CHEERS

閳?br>How to get rid of hair lice?

Use Rid lice treatment, It does work and well. You might still have eggs in your hair because they weren't completely combed out. If you think you need to, do the treatment twice. I would never put bleach on my scalp-or any other area of my skin for that matter. It won't kill the lice and it wil dry the heck out of your skin (and probably other horrid things). Best of luck!

How to get rid of hair lice?

These little pests are getting stronger every year. Buy the product from pharmacy area. Wash all bed linins in extremely hot water. Any place heads make contact such as couch pillows, head rests, hat, caps , headbands, hair barrette, even stuff aniimals.,,needs to be washed or thrown out. ALL combs and brushes wash and vinager rince or buy new ones. When doing treatment on hair be sure to leave on time stated. THE eggs are very tough hard shell and very tiny. I dont think bleech is good but I have used vinager after final rince but it will burn eyes so cover eyes well. Also if you have a cat or dog wash or check them also. The tiny comb is great for pulling eggs off that have not disolved and wash it in hot water also. AND in about 2 weeks you get to do this all over again as just one egg hatch starts it all over again. Put in lice treatment for more information. mamatx

How to get rid of hair lice?

Bleach, not on your skin. Any of that over the counter products works, bleach only as usual as you might clean around th toliet and bath but don't spash the stuff and don't leave it where a child might get it in their eyes etc. The eggs of those little buggers stick to everything, hair, clothing, bedding. Unfortunately you have to keep being extra diligent about you and your family's cleanliness or expect to be reinfected....don't let it drive you mad.....just wash and rewash with the lice stuff you get at the pharmacy....

How to get rid of hair lice?

I read this in one Philippine magazine and it worked for my on my niece's lice problem. I'd like to share it with you. Here goes. You will need a medium size basin with enough water to soak your hair and around 3-4 cigarrets. Unwrap the cigarrets and place them in the basin with water. Soak your hair in the water for some 10-15 minutes (probably more for some with longer and thicker hair). Massage your scalp while you dip or soak your hair. Then, shampoo your hair and towel it dry. Do the whole thing in as many as three times, and lo your lice will be gone! Try it!

How to get rid of hair lice?

it will make ur hair really light!

How to get rid of hair lice?

DO NOT use bleach. if u cant afford to go to the drugstore and get the rid-x use vinegar. when i was a little girl that s what my mom used. and it worked. or u could buy some hair dye. that helps too.you need to use the bleach in your bedding and childrens .throw away all combs and brushes and buy some new ones.

How do i keep my hair flat?

i want to comb my hair back slick but it puffs up a little cause i have thick hair, and if i had it shorter it would just stand up. i was thinking using a lot of gel to weigh it down.(i tried it with mousse only),

P.S. im a guy

How do i keep my hair flat?

A pomade or gel, or maybe a combo of the two will be a much better bet than the mousse, which is usually meant to volumize hair. Gel will have a "crunchy" feel, where pomade will have an "oily" feel to it. Next time you get your hair trimmed/cut, ask your hairdresser to recommend a product and have her/him use it on your hair while you watch.

How do i keep my hair flat?

lol i hope u r a boy um.. ya just use a srightner

How can i make my hair a little straighter? I have sorta curly sorta wavy hair and a bit thin?

Im combing my hair down and letting it grow to reach the eyebrows and i just want to know a good shampoo or conditioner or product that i can use to straigten it a little better. I'm a guy so of course i dont want the whole blowdryer, and special creams etc. just a simple product or shampoo. THANK YOU :)

How can i make my hair a little straighter? I have sorta curly sorta wavy hair and a bit thin?

apply anti frizz serum

How can i make my hair a little straighter? I have sorta curly sorta wavy hair and a bit thin?

Umm

Don't straighten your hairrrr, curly hair is nice on boys!

Just use gel I guess...

How can i make my hair a little straighter? I have sorta curly sorta wavy hair and a bit thin?

I have been in the hair industry for 4 years as a stylist... no product or shampoo will actually make your hair straight. Products can control frizz and add thickness. If you want your hair to be straight you can get it chemically straightened, which will cost you about $40-$60.... it works though.

How can i make my hair a little straighter? I have sorta curly sorta wavy hair and a bit thin?

What I do to make it better, is when you use conditioner in the shower, comb your hair straight. Then when you get out dry with towel, then comb it straight again. It should dry like that/

How can i make my hair a little straighter? I have sorta curly sorta wavy hair and a bit thin?

just use a flat iron or a round brush there are no products that can help.

How can i make my hair a little straighter? I have sorta curly sorta wavy hair and a bit thin?

i never knew theres a shampoo for straightening your hair...if you find one, tell me..even tho i might not need it but still lol

How can i make my hair a little straighter? I have sorta curly sorta wavy hair and a bit thin?

Try Garnier Fructis Sleek %26amp; Shine, it doesn't magically make your hair straight but heavy conditioners will weigh it down and make your hair smoother. Towel dry and comb straight.

How can i make my hair a little straighter? I have sorta curly sorta wavy hair and a bit thin?

go to hairdresser and have them use the thinning shears on ur head this works the best..their is no shampoo that is going to work a miracle u have to cut it

How can i make my hair a little straighter? I have sorta curly sorta wavy hair and a bit thin?

well, good quality shampoo and conditioner can straighten ya hair for some hours only. that is- whenever they are wet.

i wud advice u to have a 1 time investment to shell out ur bucks ,go to a salon and let your hair down.bt be careful of the styling ,u may go hectic will ur hair all on ur forehead after that. and also remember that u can try maximum looks n different hairstyles with straight hair !!!

How can i make my hair a little straighter? I have sorta curly sorta wavy hair and a bit thin?

Wash and condition hair regularly.

Press dry. Ensure your hair is nearly dry when you start.

Divide your hair in many parts and tie your hair above your head. You should dry the lower layers first.

Draw the brush of your dryer down the parts of hair while you keep on straightening each portion. Your dryer should be moving throughout.

How can i get rid of falling hair?

many hairs fall everytime i wash my hair... and when combing my hair....

what is the best thing to do without going to salons or wasting money?

How can i get rid of falling hair?

You could save them in a bag and have them made into a wig.

How can i get rid of falling hair?

HEy, my hair used to fall like crazy too! BUt it usually happens when I'm stressed out around finals. Also it fell a lot in my pubity stage...my mom said it was a growing up thing. And Usually when the weather changes (sometimes) my hair falls. Sometimes it's normal, and sometimes it's not. Just to be certain check with you're doctor first before wasting money on the salons.

Tc

How can i get rid of falling hair?

The normal rate for losing hair is 100 hairs per day. I know that you're not going to count the hairs that fall out, but unless you're seeing balding spots on random areas of your head, it's really nothing to be concerned about.

If it's bothering you, some higher class salons sell Nioxin to help regrow the hair. It's shampoo and conditioner and maybe some other therapies, not totally sure. I know that the Wal-Mart salon where I live carries it. Rite Aid has some medication for hair regrowth. When you find something that interests you, be sure to research it to see if it actually works.

How can i get rid of falling hair?

If you are pregnant, don't worry. Just take the prenatal vitamins you've been recommended.

If all is normal, then just take some prenatal vitamins that are recommended for pregnant or lactating women.

If it runs in your family, check your endocrine or hormonal levels, these can be adjusted.

If you're pulling your hair out due to frustration, change jobs, divorce your mate, or take your children to obedience training.

If your head still looks great and still doesn't show any signs (other than in the drain and in your brush), relish in the knowledge that your body is compensating for the loss of hair.

How can i get rid of falling hair?

Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea. Massage well and shampoo.Rub oil into the scalp. Wring out a towel in hot water and wrap it on the head. Keep it on for 15 minutes. Shampoo and dry well. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Perming hair to straighten it?

After years of thick, wavy, dry hair, Im trying to do something about it. Ive tried conditioning to no end to keep it soft and workable, Ive tried straightening irons (hair is too short to work on), hot combs, straightening gels and reg gels, nothing works. Nothing keeps my hair from becoming curly once my hair drys.

My last hope - reverse perming. Im going to try one of those home-perming kits and instead of curling, comb it straight and see if that works. The only problem is my hair is short (1-1.5 inches long) so I cant "pull" it straight with a comb like everyone says to do, so do you think just continuously passing a comb through my hair while the perm is in will keep it straight? I really dont want to look like a freak of nature because the perm messed my hair up even more =/ Any tips, anyone ever done this with short/thick/wavy hair like mine?

Thanks all

Perming hair to straighten it?

I would suggest you go to a hair salon and ask them for help. not saying you need to get it doen over there but ask for advice. They know all the ins and outs about hair and if you happen to catch a nice hair dresser she will glady talk to you about it...maybe you could sneak in asking the question by getting a small trim. hari dressers are always ready to start talking about things from family to politics to hair care. they are awesome!

Perming hair to straighten it?

I tried using a relaxer and my hair was somewhat short. I had it done professionally. It didn't come out as poker straight as I hoped and when my curly roots started growing in (which was about 2 weeks) it looked really funky.

Perming hair to straighten it?

Their are certain things I wouldn't do myself, one is attempt to do the brain surgery on myself. The other is putting toxic and flammable chemicals on my head. Chances are you are going to look like a freak and maybe burn your scalp. Hairdressers go to school to learn about chemicals and how they react to specific types of hair. I would not attempt to do this myself go see a professional.

Perming hair to straighten it?

Passing the comb through your hair while it is being relaxed will not straighten your hair! There is a process that the relaxer goes thru while on your head and no matter how long you comb it, if the relaxer doesn't get thru that process it will still be kinky and what not. I suggest that you allow a licensed cosmetologist to relax your hair! If memory serves me right (from attending cosmetology school), you may not get any results relaxing hair that short! You may wanna let it grow out another 2 or 3 inches! Keep in mind if you relax your hair now and it does not take, which I believe it won't, then you will have to wait at least 3 weeks to re relax it

But the choice is yours... :-)

Perming hair to straighten it?

go to a beauty salon they will have the stuff and they can do it without ruining your hair, i would have a proffessional do it.

Perming hair to straighten it?

who ever told you whatever was an idiot. there is no such thing as reverse perming. don't touch a perm get a relaxer, there is a difference. combing the relaxer isn't actually needed the relaxer will work by itself to straighten you hair and combing it can actually harm your hair. you could just take the easy way out and go to the salon.

Alternate- most people with your hair length get a texturizer. A texurizer softens the wave pattern of curly hair and work best at your length. With the texturixer you also wont have to worry about getting weird looks cause your hair is stick straight like Alf Alfa and you cant do anything with it. The texturizer will leave you with a beautiful soft curl that can be enhanced or straightened(not with a relaxer).

nappy is not a texture. our hair is tightly curled. blks have curly hair. the difference between our curl and white ppl's curl is not only the tightness of the culr but the pattern. each strand of our hair's curl goes in a different direction giving it more volume, more thickness

i heart my hair

What do you think of this natural hair style on black women?

It doesn't look natural but I don't know for sure, since personally I have the straightest hair on the planet. Doesn't matter what other people think of it as long as she likes it. If she doesn't like it, I'm sure there are hair care products available to change it. seems like there is a new product once an hour.

What do you think of this natural hair style on black women?

I love Erika Badou (however you spell it) lol. no prob with the natural hair..as long as she can see! lol

What do you think of this natural hair style on black women?

Beautiful!

Embrace your natural hair! God made you unique and it's a sign of confidence!

I love when my girls leave their hair down! Say no to chemicals!

What do you think of this natural hair style on black women?

It's fine, but I imagine that first one could be a bit disruptive...I mean literally disruptive, having your hair 'thwap' someone in the face when you walk past them is not cool.

What do you think of this natural hair style on black women?

erica badu trippin...i dont care if it nappy or not...you cant go out the house lookin like that when ya hair all ova the place in ya face and s***.i dont like the style.its 70's ish,. Lemme just tell you one thing.jus cuz they starz doesnt mean they have hairdressers...lots of the stars do there own makeup and hair,..thats when they have bad pics like that one

What do you think of this natural hair style on black women?

That looks great on her. I'm an average white guy who LOVES the feel of black women's hair. I love to play with it and run my fingers through it, it feels so...natural.

What do you think of this natural hair style on black women?

the second picture is interesting - how did she get her hair like that?

What do you think of this natural hair style on black women?

as long as it is taken care of and can be combed and all that..then aint nothing wrong with it.

it can be pretty if treated right.

What do you think of this natural hair style on black women?

I personally don't care for either one but to each is own. Are you thinking about wearing your hair into one of these styles?

One vulgar idiot pulled my long hair due to an unecessary fight iam getting lot of pain so what to d

One vulgar idiot pulled my long hair due to an unecessary fight iam getting lot of pain so what to do now ?

Your grammar is vulgar.

One vulgar idiot pulled my long hair due to an unecessary fight iam getting lot of pain so what to do now ?

your scalp sounds bruised take some pain killers like asprin there is nothing really to take to "strengthen the roots" you should feel better in a couple days

also let me apologize for the rudeness of the other poster blame it on their social economic upbringing and lack of being taught manners

good luck

One vulgar idiot pulled my long hair due to an unecessary fight iam getting lot of pain so what to do now ?

There is nothing much you can do, the damage will heal given a little time. In the mean time just keep your hair tied loosely to keep from making things worse.

Who knows a good technique or method to spike your hair?

I know the technique where u put gel onto your hands and you just comb your hair back with your hands, but that doesn't work for me. It leaves some areas spiky and other areas not spiky. Sometimes some areas don't stand straight up. I tried combing my hair back gently but it doesn't work too well either. Who knows a better method or technique for spiking your hair and making it look nice from the front, sides, and the back of your head?

Who knows a good technique or method to spike your hair?

I would suggest putting gel in it, but instead of combing it back with your hands, move your hands through it kind of wildly, then gently pull the parts of your hair up-ish to make it spike.

Who knows a good technique or method to spike your hair?

If you don't get any good answers, let me know; I'll ask one of my friends.

Who knows a good technique or method to spike your hair?

dude use wax!!!!!!! well hair wax and just put some in your hands and have fun with it!!!

Who knows a good technique or method to spike your hair?

Right i know exactly what your saying as i used to spike my hair for a number of years. Firstly you have to find the right styling product not just the first one you come across. If its not standing up enough you need a stronger product. For you i would reccomend+++ WAX. Ditch the gel, go for wax!

Firstly before styling you either need to wash your hair or just pour a bottle of cold water on it or somthing to loosen it up and make it more managable.

**ALWAYS AFTER WASHING APPLY A CONDITIONER FOR MORE MANAGABLE HAIR**

After wetting take awayexcess water using a towel. Now massage quickly in your hands the wax. Apply over head. Seperate the parts of the hair that you want to define and make them stand up. Do you want a wet look, or spiky dry look. If you want a wet look just stop there. If yuo want a dry spiking look you need to slowly blow dry the hair to melt the product into the hair and freeze the style in place but cool bursting the hair. Whether you choose wet or dry look after styling make sure that you use some type of hairspray or freezing spray to hold the style in place, use a little more in the area that you find lay down after styling. This should complete your look and should set you up for the day.

______________________________________...

Personally on the information you have provided im going to reccomend you a product, if you choose not to get it then make sure you get a strong one but an easy wash out on as strong waxes tend to take many washes to wash out. I would reccomend redken but i cant find a review.Heres what i would reccomend+++ Fudge Hair Shaper.

Author's product rating:

Advantages: Strong effective hold, easy to wash out

Disadvantages: Not so effective with long hair . Has nothing on a Caramac !

Recommend to potential buyers: yes

篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓藴"掳潞鈥③濃€?The History of Fudge 鈥③濃€⒙郝?quot;藴篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓

Originating in Australia somewhere in the northern beaches of Sydney, Fudge is the leading product brand of the Sabre Group. Sabre itself is an American company dealing with distribution of salon accessories.

In 1991, the Sabre Group developed and launched Fudge 'Shaper', a sticky styling clay that was unique to the market in Australia. Specifically marketed to young, teenage boys, the launch of Shaper was timely with the growth of men's grooming products becoming more evident in the 1990's.

Fudge was available for use in UK salons from 1994 and the internet from 1999.

They say,

"Fudge is for those who like to be鈥ell. Just a little different. Progressive. Unpredictable and confident enough to express their individuality." 鈥?nice鈥?

~o0o~ The History of My Fudge ~o0o~

Alongside many other people, I am on the mission to find the perfect hair product鈥ith little success!

I have tried many different brands and qualities and although they all promise the world, they only tend to be good in their own, specific situation. After changing to an exclusive hairdresser this summer (since I started earning money!), I discovered the Fudge Hair range.

One day, whilst having my mop cut and styled, I discussed the dilemma I had with hair products to my hairdresser (she is a very kind, tolerant lady!) with the aim to obtain some professional knowledge. She showed me several different brands and explained the advantages of each product, but declared that each has their own specialty and should be chosen with that in mind. Some sound advice鈥o after some time thinking about my new super cool hair mop, I decided to try a pot of Fudge "Shaper". Why? Well, with the image of being a strong, easy to use product, I assumed that it would be good in most situations, right?

Just to let you know, I have been using this product for a good half year now (on and off) and I am still on the same tub.

篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓藴"掳潞鈥③濃€?Packaging 鈥③濃€⒙郝?quot;藴篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓

To be truthful, it is not easy to miss any of the Fudge Hair products since the year 2000, when they introduced an orange and grey colour scheme! The distinctive shape of each container within the Fudge Hair range ensures each product is recognisable without any difficulty.

The 'Shaper' pot sits about 80mm high, with a narrow base that expands out toward the vivid lid. This allows the use of a decent size lid for easy, welcoming access to the sticky creation within! I feel the packaging is well formed and individual, making it eye-catching and easy to hold. It sits well in the palm of a hand, or on a surface.

I've dropped mine all over the place and as you would expect, nothing has happened to it.

篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓藴"掳潞鈥③濃€?Price and availability 鈥③濃€⒙郝?quot;藴篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓

As said in the history section, this product is only available in salons. This is a crafty marketing plan for the Fudge brand, the objective, to become an exclusive, high quality product with a designer street edge. Great鈥ou know what you are buying is a quality product鈥he only problem is the variety of prices that people can charge.

So true to form, I did a little price research. Feeling a little bemused at the salon charging a whopping 拢12 a pot for the sticky cr猫me, I was sure I could find it cheaper. With an idea of the price I was expected to pay I turned my efforts to splashing around on the internet! I was pleased to find the majority of prices were approximately 拢8.50, however with the addition of P+P this increased to around 拢10.

Although I am not a regular user, I found the best price to be on eBay from a market seller. I was charged 拢8.50 with free P+P saving a good 拢3-4!...excellent!...

The product arrived very quickly, within 3 days so I was able to use it that week!

The Hair Shaper is available in both 25g/0.88oz and 100g/3.5oz tubs. The costs mentioned above relate to a 100g pot.

篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓藴"掳潞鈥③濃€?How to use 鈥③濃€⒙郝?quot;藴篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓

As soon as you get it, I would recommend twisting off the bright orange lid and taking a good strong sniff鈥hhh, sweet, sweet caramel! I'm not sure how good this is for you, so don't do it too often. You will probably want to sit down for a while after, but as soon as you are ready, delve right in. This stuff is pretty sticky and stretches like a good mozzarella cheese, so be careful!

~o0o~ Now, this is important! ~o0o~

From experience, I would suggest that you only use a small amount! I have found that if you use too much at one time, it does not work well and makes your hair rough. It helps to apply the cr猫me with your fingertips, as this restricts the amount you use and gives a more even spread when rubbing through your hair. REMEMBER, this product produces a matte look, so if it is starting to look wet, you may have used too much!

Apply Hair Shaper to hands, rub thoroughly and distribute evenly through the hair and style.

篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓藴"掳潞鈥③濃€?Longevity 鈥③濃€⒙郝?quot;藴篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓

When used on dry hair this stuff really does hold! Once again be careful with how much you use, as if you use to much, it makes your hair heavy. It generally lasts all day and allows a little bit of re-moulding, although I find it dries out somewhat if you do this too much.

The product is also relatively easy to wash out, which I would recommend you do. I have found, like most products, it dries out my hair a little when left in over night, although it does give a very effective "out of bed" look in the morning!

篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓藴"掳潞鈥③濃€?Taste 鈥③濃€⒙郝?quot;藴篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓

Now, I don't recommend this, but I thought for the purpose of the review, it was essential to cover every possible feature of the product! The caramel smell and smooth texture make the paste very tempting and hard to resist鈥ut alas, it does not taste like caramel鈥his maybe due to the lack of caramel ingredients.

I would have to say, stick to using it as a hair care product rather than a food鈥ven if you are starving I would recommend you avoid consumption and would suggest possibly selling it to buy something more substantial鈥ike a Caramac!

~o0o~ Pros ~o0o~

鈥?Smells great

鈥?Strong hold

鈥?Slight re-moulding ability

鈥?Easy to wash out

~o0o~ Cons ~o0o~

鈥?Very sticky on your hands

鈥?Can leave you with the feeling of dried out hair

篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓藴"掳潞鈥③濃€?Opinion 鈥③濃€⒙郝?quot;藴篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓篓

I have realised that, although there are many products out there, you really have to mix and match what you use to the type of hair you have at the time. Obviously hair types vary greatly anyway, so this review is only truly suitable for people with thick, heavy hair like mine.

I have found my hair has really taken to this fudge. This product works superbly when my hair is short to medium length, however it struggles when longer. Then again, it does still work when used on a longer length hair, but I find you have to start putting more and more of the product in your hair to get an effect which ruins the texture and quality of your hair.

All that said I am still on the search for the perfect hair product. Although very close, there is something about this product that I do not quite get on with. Maybe it is just because I do not use it quite as I should or because I like moaning, but whatever the case, I would still have to recommend this product to anyone looking for a decent hair shaper. You won't be let down.

Garnier "Color Breaks" hair dye? I NEED HELP!?

The box says: start with unwashed, dampened, towel ried hair, comb into usual style. Put opn gloves provided. Mix the mix. Then it tells how to apply it. I dye my own hair all the time, so I know a lot about at home dying. But I have NEVER come across a kit that calls for having wet hair while dying it? Has anyone else used this product before? I just want to know if this is a misprint or if this is actually how you use the product. If no one knows im going to call the 800 number to be sure. Thanks for your help! jerr.

Garnier "Color Breaks" hair dye? I NEED HELP!?

I used it but my hair was dry and it turned out ok

Garnier "Color Breaks" hair dye? I NEED HELP!?

I've no idea why the instructions would say to start with dampened hair. Like you, I've never seen this in hair dye instructions. However, I will say that I think it's a bad idea to have damp hair before applying hair dye because it will dilute the dye and also if hair has absorbed water, it will absorb less of the dye. You might end up with uneven color, less color, and/or color that won't last as long.

HELP!!!!! iam losing all ma hair :(?

iam really into so much of depression lately...... iam losing so much of hair..... well beyond da 100 strands limit.....every time i comb, da hair jus falls......it doesn't break......it jus completely falls frm da root......:( does somebody have the slightest idea as to what exactly is wrong and what i can do to save da little hair iam left with??

HELP!!!!! iam losing all ma hair :(?

Everyone loses between 40 %26amp; 120 strands a day, depending on how much hair you have, your age %26amp; your hair's growth cycle. People with fine hair tend to have more of it %26amp; therefore will lose more of it than their thicker-haired sisters %26amp; brothers. Your hair also thins as you get older, particularly after menopause for women, but the thinning will stop %26amp; not continue as it will for men.

You'll lose the most hair in the fall -- typically November and December when hair reaches maturity in its growth cycle.

Hair loss can occur through poor dieting, tight ponytails, even with age. iron deficiency may be the cause. Sometimes it happens as a result of illness. Even stress, excessive weight loss, iron deficiency %26amp; thyroid problems can cause hair loss.

If you're really worried, ask your doctor, however, experts say you really only need to worry if your part is getting wider or you can see your scalp through your hair. But don't worry, not all hair loss is permanent. There is a specialty doctor called a 'trichologist,' an expert in hair problems.

HELP!!!!! iam losing all ma hair :(?

If you are breastfeeding or you had a baby recently this is common. So, I found when I found this started happening to me.

HELP!!!!! iam losing all ma hair :(?

Mix gums with Shampoos you use. Add only little. This really works, just that your hair will look little bad your hair fall will less, i say nearly 70%.

Dont fear. If your hair falls nothing would happen. Its just that you will have less hair. But dont worry , thats doesnt matter much. If it matters much and try to find answes for it, you will be fooled by just like the answer I gave.

Trully, you look more lovely when you have less hair.......

HELP!!!!! iam losing all ma hair :(?

You need to see a doctor...you could be low on iron or have a thyroid problem you are not aware of but this is a sign. Also, most women lose hair from mental stress. Topical solutions will not prevent hair loss.

HELP!!!!! iam losing all ma hair :(?

wer the same..

u just have to relax and don't think of anything negative.. too much falling hair is a cause of tension and stress..

HELP!!!!! iam losing all ma hair :(?

Hair loss can be caused by lots of reasons, I lose lots more than 100 hairs per day, when you have long hair it seems worse than it is. But I'm not worried as I'm not thinning and it's not coming out in clumps.

A Doctor is the only person qualified to make a diagnosis on this one, so go and see your Doctor and mention your depression too.

In the meantime you might find this article helpful... http://familydoctor.org/081.xml

Natural Homemade Tips for Hair %26amp; Skin

http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-gnA4Lmo_b...

Do any of you know how to grow thicker hair? My sister is having a problem with her hair.?

She puts oil on her hai every third day, takes vitamins, and makes sure to comb her hair wihout beaking too much hair. She says that she used to have really thick hair, but that in the past three years, it has thinned by a third. If you guys know anyhing that worked for you, could you tell what it was and how long it took for it to work on your hair? Certain shampoos, oils, foods, or vitamins?

Do any of you know how to grow thicker hair? My sister is having a problem with her hair.?

tell her to not wash it everyday. maybe twice a week. also rosemary, coconut ang garlic oil mixed together, heated and put all over the scalp with cotton balls really helps. she should also buy lavender oil (at GNC, the rest at any other beauty supply) and mix it into the solution. tell her to eat prooperly. alot of GREEN veggies does the trick. Beans too. when she goes to sleep tell her 2 tie a scarf aroung her hair so that it wont break! When she washes her hair tell her to stand under COLD water, this brings circulation into the head. ALso tell her to leave her hair in a loose pony tail (a soft scrunchie) OR a loose braid.

Good product are definatley

infusium 23 (leave in treatment)

Dr miracles

Doo gro

Pink

and pills "Ultra Nourish Hair' (at GNC)

good luck and tell her not to stress, that makes it worst.

Do any of you know how to grow thicker hair? My sister is having a problem with her hair.?

All u have to do is get a really good shampoo and conditioner atleast try to wash your hair every week but I do mines every day, take care of your hair and in a couple of weeks there will be a succes you will be succesfull

Do any of you know how to grow thicker hair? My sister is having a problem with her hair.?

As a woman who also used to have thick hair, I remember

that mine started to thin a bit after having my first baby. I was

told it might have had to do with the anesthetic they used. But

it has gotten thinner as I've aged. And now I have what they

call, male pattern baldness. So it's time for a hair weave or

something. I don't like "wide parts" LOL.

Many years ago, I had an allergic reaction to a well known

shampoo, and my hair was really falling out. And my doctor

persribed a very stinky shampoo that was maroon like in

color and it was the right remedy for my problem. My hair

grew back in little stubbles at first and then got longer til it

was normal length. I was sure scared for awhile. I thought I

was going to be bald in no time.

I would advise your sister to see her doctor and let him run

a blood scan to see if her system is lacking in certain vitamins or iron or whatever. The remedy could be as close

as a vitamin bottle.
